Cajun Lightnin Fishing Line

I purchased this line for catfish leader rigs.This is the first time to purchase this brand.It is very stiff line. It has some serious memory to it, It curls bad.It does not have much stretch to it.I would not buy it again for anything.

I used Red Lightning during a trip to Clearwater, FL last year. The 6 pound test was very much to my liking.Very strong and resilient. This heavier stuff is for big NY State bass and walleyes with more weeds and such tofight through. The red is absorbed in a few feet of water, so it's not a fish factor. I just tell people that it'smy secret weapon and they all scramble to the bait shop.

Good strong line that I have not got birds nest with. I am not catching as many fish with red line using lures then when i was using clear.

went to canada, we catch 10-30 fish a day. the line the first few days at 8lb would snag/birds nest. knowing this in advance from other reviews i waited till the week of to put it on my reels. it was good line against northern, but bad against all day usuage. the recommendation on our reels was 100 yards of 8lb test, we found that reducing it to about 60-70 yards helped reduce the birds nesting. it is too stiff to have that much line on, it simply falls off.
