Goldwell Topchic Hair Color, 5va Fascinating Violet Ash, 2.03 Ounce

I had been bleaching my mother-in-law's hair/roots to get her to a neutral light blonde for years. This harsh process caused her scalp to blister and caused brackage and frizziness. We have also tried store bought hair dyes, other developers, bleach, and toners (like the t-18 Wella toner to get rid of brassiness). This brand of developer and color creme previded the best results with no damage. She has dark brown hair with 50% grey roots, especially around her face. I did a ratio of 1:1 of the Goldwell 20 developer and the N9 hair color, and added a little more developer for a higher lift. We left it on for about a total of 60 minutes (I am not very fast) and i put a bag on her head. I started in the back and worked my way to the front, to give the back the most development time. Her roots turned out a medium nuetral/slightly carmel blonde color that blendes nicely into her very light blonde tips. It looks like the roots of what a natural blonde may have. Which works great with her light, warm skin tone. It covered the grey well, and made the grey an ultra light blonde instead of stark white (which happens with bleach on grey roots), where it is heavily grey. Also, it made her hair shiny and soft to the touch. This developer/color did not irritate her sinistive skin. We have found an alternative to bleach. It doesn't lift as much as the bleach, but in my oppinion this color looks very natural and more desirable. We will be buying again for touch ups/lightening and for roots as her hair grows out. She loves the way it has turned out! Excellent product. It's a lucky find, as someone who has done a lot of at home hair, I now will only buy this brand.

My hair color brand of choice! I'm not old, but have premature graying, and this hair color has a specific type for resistant gray hair, it is the NN blend! My color doesn't wash out between colorings and the color stays vibrant and shiny! Highly recommend and worth every penny!

Made my hair fall out. Goldwell said it was not their product. It had Arabic and Hebrew wrting on the bottom of the can. Reported it to Amazon and never even used ANY color again. My hair is still growing back and its been about a year.

I have been using Goldwell for many years. Hard to find many stylists that carry this product, and they all have suggested to try other brands. I did, but I gave it a shot and every time came to the conclusion that Goldwell is the best quality product for my hair. I am paying more because the products are pricier than the other on the market and maybe that is the reason that salons might not carry that line. Is good color, quality and I don't think I will ever change.Good experience from the vendor I have purchased this product.

This product eliminates the copper hues that show up in sunlight with most blondish colors. I add a bit of Topchic blue/black which gives my gray hair a smoky color. Doesn't look exactly like a natural hair color, but I like it.

Goldwell Topchic is the best professional hair color. It's so simple to use , doesnt damage your hair , and gives a multidimensionalthat boxed drugstore brands do not. The drugstore boxed colors can give a flat, opaque , look. And the shine with Goldwell is phenomenalnot to mention, how much money you can save not going to a salon.

The description stated that this was a new product; however, the seal was broken on all three Topchic tubes! This is NOT a new product. Goldwell Topchic is an excellent brand, but this product DID NOT cover my gray well and wore off over time. Freshly opened Topchic has never behaved this way on my; hence, I believe it was old product that lost it's strength. I will not buy from this supplier again! Buyer Beware!! It could be anything in that tube!

I bought this before. I love the color. I should have stuck with this because another brand I bought turned my gray hair blue.
