Very good. The quality of the paper is quite good for the very low price, and it handles watercolor nicely. I’ve had some small issues of the paper slightly warping, but only when I apply a lot of water. The build of the sketchbook is perfect, I have only had an issue with the sketchbook falling apart a little is when I tried to tear a piece of the paper out (don’t even try, it’s not meant for that). I’ve used the Field Artist sketchbooks for a couple months now doing watercolor sketches and acrylic in them, and I will continue to buy them. Great deal and quality. 4/5

This is a hand size soft cover travel watercolor sketchpad (good size for coat pocket, too). The paper isn’t 140lb pure cotton watercolor paper but for light wash and no repeated brush strokes it’d be ok. I don’t know how the paper can handle brush tip markers but liner sketch shouldn’t bleed thru. Pages can lay flat. The last large is a 4 panel accordion.Make sure you check each page though. The one I received has a few pages that bore the indentation of elastic band imprint, very strange.I like the light weight, compact size, decent construction/quality, and ok pricing. I can make my own doodle booklets using watercolor sheets but a sketchbooklet like this, I don’t mind buying.

Used this on my recent trip and it was so nice to have a sketch book handy and not take too much room. I have used my watercolor markers and the paper has a good texture for watercolor. I plan to bring it to Europe with me. It is perfect to slip in my purse or backpack to sketch on the go.
