First you will need a screwdriver to remove the backs to first put AA batteries in the remote control and make sure the dino rechargeable one is fully charged. The battery in the dino is removable and very similar to a drones battery with a very tight fit getting back in. The remote doesn’t have an on/off switch which is confusing to me. It is recommended to do batteries first as putting water in after leaks. You will add water into the dino head which is the “fire” aka lighted steam. When turning on you will see the dinosaur is very active as it will do a kind of boot mode and dance around. You load 3 missiles with extras provided if you ever loose them. The missiles have the ability to shoot a good 15 ft which is impressive. It is pretty easy to control and even though the box recommend a older age, I think any kid at age 3+ could operate and enjoy this. My younger one was a little scared of it. The educational piece is a bit off to me. I couldn’t understand the dino fully as the sound was amped too loud muffling it without paying full attention to it. I would rather have a CD or app to interact with it. Be sure to keep the instructions as it does take time to understand what all of the buttons do as it is not too intuitive. This can make noises, talk, move around, shoot missiles, and coolest is the “fire” for the price which is awesome. I wouldn’t say it’s educational but it is engaging and opens creativity and worth it - especially if given to as a present.

This robot dinosaur is a great gift to my kid. It makes a loud roar and launch missiles. And to insert 3 missiles, we need to rotate the launcher to the exact spot like 2 holes on th top and 1 hole on the bottom. This dino has a grip on the feet so it can walk on even the thicker carpet, and I like the idea of taking it as an educational toy or to spark the curiosity of a kid. My daughter loves it very much.

I bought this Dino and three other ones for my granddaughter for Christmas. The remote control did not work on the Dino and my granddaughter was very disappointed. This was also the most expensive Dino of the four!!! I am very disappointed!!!!

My three year old grandson and my daughter both LOVED this! It's sturdy and really does look like it's breathing fire! The rockets launch for a considerable distance and the noises and movements are awesome. Highly recommend!

Kids loved it so much. The lights and sounds are great and they are learning as well.

It’s a really cool toy but ours takes about 30min to charge for about 15 min of play. Hard to understand some of the things that it says. Sometimes the launchers don’t click in every time. It is way cool but I don’t think it’s worth the price.
