Feels very premium for the money. Excellent suction - much better than the old Miele it replaced.Some reviews say it’s heavy. I don’t find that, but my wife thinks it is - however, it’s not heavy to lift and carry, and I think the weight comes from the fact that the suction is so powerful it sticks to the carpet and needs some pressure to move around.The car detail kit is a nice little addition, and does the job well - cleans the crevices very well.It’s a shame it doesn’t have an automatic retracting cable like the Miele, so you have to wind the cable by hand, but that might be a feature of upright vacuum cleaners.On the whole, very good value for money (at the £170 we paid).

I have had this vacuum cleaner for just over a month and use it all the time because I once had a nice clean house and then for some reason I got a white cocker jack puppy and I live in the middle of the countryside. Mud. Mud. Hair hair hair.I was using my Henry and thought it was perfectly good for cleaning and then I got a dog.So I purchased this and it’s amazing I kid you not I never thought I would love a vacuum cleaner.Key points I love - it has a lift away and wand release which is great for getting dog hairs off my sofa as you can see in the photo below!I like the ability to change the suction and the floor type between carpet and hard floor. The bin is easily emptied. One of the only issues is when you remove it for the lift away you have to hold it or it will fall over I also think that it’s quite heavy and that people with less strength might struggle when it’s at full size but I’m not used to a plugged upright vacuum cleaner so maybe that is how heavy they are? I like the wand release that makes it have a longer cylinder like the photo or a shorter one, the attachments are useful and the suction is good! Very happy and would recommend even though it’s a bit spenny but I didn’t get mine in the sale or anything.

I am 61 years old and have arthritis in the shoulder and hips.I was looking to replace my Dyson V8 Animal cordless vacuum which I have had for 3 years. This was purchased for light weight due to my arthritis I was never 100 % pleased with the unitThe shark is heavier to push although it has a few functions to reduce the effort needed. It has a flick switch handily placed near the top of the handle to reduce the suction of the vacuum. Also there is a switch that enables the vacuum to alternate from hard floor to carpets, better upgrade on the Dyson. Which enabled a much better clean.The unit itself comes apart making the stairs easy to clean and lightens the weight considerably. Add the wand to the hose and you have a vacuum that reaches the ceiling corners with little effort, great for spider hunting. The wand is also useful for cleaning under beds with the carpet attachment.This vacuum is sold to pet owners, I have a Bichon a recent addition is a wired haired Daschund. 2 different coats, the wire hair imbeds into fabric so the cleaner is very effective in removing these type of hairs, the crevice tool works well between the cushion on my leather couch, I would imagine the other tools will clean a fabric couch very satisfactorily.The anti hair wrap technology is a great boost saves getting the head clean with a screwdriver or knife 😳. I’m not sure the lights on the front do anything to assist as I always clean when it’s light anyway.The dust pan is small but comparative with the Dyson so I am used to frequent empties, but as the mechanical release means you don’t get your hands dirty this poses no problem. The dust unit releases/returns easily from the/to unit.I have used this vacuum for a couple of weeks before reviewing to give a fair assessment.I am very pleased with its performance, it is slightly more heavy than the Dyson but the versatility outperforms the Dyson in cleaning capabilities. The fact the unit can disassemble is also a bonus for manoeuvring the unit around the house. It has taken a little while to get to know how to get the most out of all the settings as it is not plug and play. I think that environmental impact is a positive too as the lithium batteries in the Dyson need careful disposal.The build quality feels more robust than the Dyson and replacement parts are easily accessible.I paid less on Amazon than going to Shark direct and was delivered next day through Prime so I am very pleased with this purchase on all counts value for money, performance, build quality and sustainability 5 stars

I have been looking at the Shark brand for a few years .My trusted Vax has given me almost 20 years of service , but it was starting to fall apart and seems to not be picking up the cat hair anymore,which was everywhere.The Shark was on offer ,so I bought it. cat hair gone.So far so good . Getting used to it .Love the fact there was no plastic packaging .Easy to put together.It's easy to empty the dust container.Easy to take apart when needed.Lightweight.I got this style because of the dual brush for hair and pet hair .Perfect.I will need to see how it goes as the hoover gets used. So far I am glad I bought it and it was on offer.. ResultTHREE MONTHS ON.....I think after having used this hoover for three months ,It has to be one of the best hovers I have ever used and owned.A few wee things that it does not get 5 stars , Top heavy , container to small, are two I can think of . I have learnt to work with it, The container I empty after every use and the top heavy part ,I have found a way of working around that too. On the whole this hoover is amazing. Well worth the money
