SeaLife Micro HD+ 32GB Wi-Fi Underwater Digital Camera Sea Dragon Pro 2500 Set with Sea Dragon 2500F Light, Micro Tray, Grip & SL941 Sea Dragon Case

This is supposed to be a very basic camera for amateur photographers that don't want to worry about seals extra care and maintenance that is required with fancier cameras or even GoPros. You just take it home after a dive, rinse it and dry it right?After hearing nightmares about other cameras, seals and flooding, we bought this very specific camera, despite some performance shortfalls specifically for the fact it is waterproof and guaranteed not to leak and is essentially foolproof as long as you care for in in a most basic way. Unfortunately after a few dives, there is fogging inside the lenses which indicates moisture and some strange behaviors in the electronics has coincidentally showed up. For that reason I dare not re-power it up. SeaLife was contacted and we are informed that we are to ship and insure at our own cost, they will repair and will ship back to us via UPS ground to Hawaii, which all in all means several weeks. We have a diving trip of a lifetime in 2.5 weeks and SeaLife has really let us down. If it were a seal on something I was supposed to maintain I'd be more understanding of the time required and cost of shipping but this camera was bought because of the special fact it is permanently sealed and that exact main selling feature failed. My advice, for the same amount of money, get a camera with much more features and control and take responsibility for seals etc yourself instead of leaving it with a company with lesser customer service.

As a starting point, I am a very amateur photographer and likely will remain that way so this camera is perfect for me. No flooding issues, no complicated settings, just charge the battery, set the camera for underwater deep and start shooting stills or video.I got the Sea Dragon 2500 with mine so if I get too close, I can over do the lighting. Overall, the set exceeded my expectations and I am quite pleased.Transferring the pictures and videos to iPad or computer is also very simple.

I bought it as Christmas gift for my son. So I haven't looked at it yet.
