The perfect balance of salty licorice flavor
I have tried a litany of licorice products in search of one that is neither so salty it overpowers the licorice flavor, nor too mildly salty as to not even be satisfying. I believe this product has found the perfect balance between the two.If you are unfamiliar with Dutch salty licorice, you might be a little put off by this at first, so I recommend 'warming up' to the taste of salty licorice with other products like the Katjes herrings with only a slight saltiness. Once you've acquired the taste, then you can try these with a more discerning palate. I submit that you'll not regret spending the time to do so.If you're already a fan of Dutch licorice, buy these immediately and I would be surprised if they don't become your favorite right away.I couldn't stand Dutch licorice the first time I tried it (but the first one I tried was a double salt variety). I have since come to enjoy them very much. Gustaf's double salt really hits the spot if you want an intense punch of salt without much licorice flavor, and the Katjes herrings are on the other side with just enough salt to notice. These Lakrids have hit the spot precisely in the middle, and it's fantastic.Besides all this, the texture is very nice. Some might not like it, but it is sort of a breakaway / plastic feel, except far superior to something like Twizzlers. With those, you're actually eating plastic. With these, it's real licorice and you can tell. My main gripe with most salty licorice is that you can't even taste any licorice flavor, but with these Lakrids, it comes through loud and... savory.

Moderately salty and has a very nice chew
I love salmiakki but it's hard to find good stuff in the United States. This is good stuff, it's far from the saltiest I've had but it is ammonium chloride forward and has a good amount of herbal and a bit of sweet to it. If you are looking for a soft but salty licorice, this is it.It's only too bad the larger size is not distributed in the US at the moment, this is a bit expensive and I'd love to buy it in a larger quantity.

Good taste but too costly
I like the product, pieces could be cut smaller since it's quite chewy. I enjoyed the taste but the 150g jar for over $10 is ridiculous. I ate them in one sitting and they were so few that I could never gift one to someone. I think the product is tasty although little too chewy. Make the package larger and then the price value is in place.

Very strong and unique.
I love confectionery wonders. This licorice is very strong, salty, and chewy. I absolutely love it, but I seem to be the only one in my household that does. It is sweet at first, then anise and salt take over! It is great if you are looking for something different and odd. I will buy it again.

Salty
I have been a huge fan of Danish licorice since I was a child and this product does not disappoint. If you like the salty style licorice you will like this product.

INCORRECT PRODUCT MISLEADING LISTING
The title of this listing is for chocolate-coated licorice. HOWEVER, the product description, product photos and ****most importantly**** the stated ingredients do not include chocolate coating. When I asked other amazon members about this item, they assured me it was for non-chocolate coated licorice. Chocolate-coated licorice arrived. This listing is wrong and misleading and needs to be removed.

Unique acquired taste
It’s clearly an acquired taste and I’m glad I tried them. Not for me unfortunately

Tiny size, great flavor
Some of the best gluten free licorice I've ever had. #2 Salt flavor is lightly salted with robust licorice flavor. Good texture. The problem is that you don't get much for the money. I won't be buying these again due to cost, but the packaging is nice and the flavor very good. Alas!
