Monster [25th Anniversary Edition] [VINYL]

Remixes are frankly terrible.
I am two songs on of Scott Litt’s “remixes”. It sounds like he got out the master tapes, utinated on them and sent them for mastering. I’m not joking. It’s awful.

Monster boxset
A nice boxset with an informative booklet. The remix album did sound a little strange first but now I've played it a few times it's starting to grow on me. I prefer the remixes of I dont sleep I dream & You to the originals. I'm not so keen on some of the other remixes but it's still nice to hear new mixes of these classic tracks. The unreleased songs are great but I would of liked to see some demos of the actual songs on Monster as well. The live concert is good but I still prefer the Milton Keynes show that is available on the BBC boxset. All in all a very enjoyable boxset.

Great gig - but already out there
A fine live recording from this band - but if you already have the Super Deluxe R.E.M. at the BBC, then you already have this gig. Says previously unreleased but not actually the case. Nevertheless a great performance.

Gd remix
Probably my least favourite rem lp but the new mix is much better. The concert recording is excellent.

packaging sucks
this is rating the packaging only. having paid 60+ one should expect a binding that lasts longer than 5 minutes.

Great CD, shame about the packaging
Great CD set, no question. But the booklet (which is superb by the way) came away from the CDs soon after purchase. It's a really hefty booklet (which is great) but it should have had it's own slip case rather than being glued to the spine. I'll try fix it, still a great purchase of an underrated album.

Fantastic transfer of one of REM’s greatest albums
Great audio quality on the transfer to vinyl, of one of R.E.M’s best albums. Sleeve design looks great. Over all an excellent addition to your vinyl collection
