I wrote a review some weeks ago and I initially gave this External Battery Pack RAVPower 10400mAh 3.5A a one star rating. The device stopped holding a charge after around 6 weeks of light use. When I tried to return it, Amazon said "too late, past 30 days". So I wrote a negative review. Turns out the folks at RAVPower read all of these reviews. They contacted me right away. I could tell that the very nice lady I spoke with (Lucia from the Sunvalleytek Customer Service Team) was actually concerned. She assured me that the defective device I received was a rare anomaly, and they stand by their products 100%. I'm here to tell you - that's a fact! They promptly sent me a brand new External Battery Pack. That is great customer service, and I react well to being treated like I am appreciated. I am a loyal RAVPower user for life. No need for me to look elsewhere when I need portable juice for my devices. Thanks for making it right, Lucia! ~Ed

Hello,I sometimes need to be on my iPhone for hours, and this external battery lets me do it--I mention the iPhone because I've had a lot of them over the years, and none had a long-lasting battery. (I can put the Ravpower charger in my pocket, run the cord through a couple of belt loops, and nothing gets tangled or in my way. Not beautiful, but it lets me keep working.)I carried the charger in my car trunk for a couple of years, and the battery seemed unchanged by heat or cold (I know it had to be affected by cold, but it was too little to notice or matter).I often forget about it for long periods of time between charges, but it's always almost still fully charged.I have a phone holder on my bike's handlebars. And I have a zip-bag on the top-tube, close to the handlebar stem. I put the charger in the bag, and run a short cord to the phone. That way I can listen to my Amazon playlists while riding, and anywhere I might stop along the way. Never runs down.It uses a USB cord to charge, and doesn't take too long.Since mine is four-years old (purchased July, 2015), I would think that the current model is even better.This charger has always had all the power I needed, and more. If it ever quits, I know I'll be getting something else from Ravpower--for sure!This is just my experience. Be sure to look through their reviews.Update, 11-9-2019, This charger is really amazing. I haven't used it for six months, so I got it out to charge it (figuring it would be low). When I plugged it in, the four charge-indicators showed it was still well above 75%. (Not long ago, I streamed five hours of Amazon movies on my iPhone while I waited to be seen in a hospital emergency room. And when they finally came to sew me up, the RavPower still had over half a charge left.)

I'm did write a 1 star review to get attention. I thought my pack was defective because it would not hold a charge or would stop charging a few minutes after I plugged it in. So I thought, and remembered, that when I was having success charging the block, I was using the brick that came with my the iPad. And when I was having trouble, I was using the little iPhone 1 amp bricks. I'm happy to report that using the 2.1 amp iPad brick has gotten the charging back on track! Hopefully Ravpower will send me a nice finder's fee for pointing this out in simpler terms. The product listing says please use a 2 amp charger. But it should say "you must use..." I was ready to trash my block and write a bad review :-)5 stars if my luck continues.

Very disappoint with the item. Used for couple time. Yesterday going the field trip and the power bank died just after 1 hour that left me no phone and no GPS in the middle of the country side in Texas. Get home and plug it to charger, all 4 LED lid up very bright and stay like that all night. Pulled out of the charger and plug in my phone, nothing. Know juice at all. Plug it back to the charger again and there is the 4 LED lid up again.Bought it in April this year and used less than 10 time. If there is a half star or no star I would give it the right one.

This is a great battery pack. I ordered this for my wife's birthday and it did not disappoint. It came fully charged and has charged her Samsung Galaxy 6s several times and still has juice in the tank. The most recent charge took her phone from 8% to 75% in about half an hour. That's pretty quick. It did not come with the most detailed instructions, but it is so simple to use and understand that instructions are not necessary. It also has ismart ports that monitor and optimize charging. It has two ports to charge multiple devices at once, and indicator LED's that let you know the battery level of the charger. I got the white model and it is sleek and attractive, and it also matches my wife's phone. This charger comes with two USB charging cables, one long and one short. It's important to use the charging type USB cables rather than the Data rated ones, because it makes a big difference in charging speed.I purchased this product at full price, and would do so again. It performs at a level comparative to more expensive models. I can't see how the average person would need more.
