Zelco Hydra 2 Headed Book Light

This is the best among a lot of bad products. Shabbily made; one didn't work well at all and the other two I bought work intermittently (I have been here before with this product so bought three hoping that one would work). On one, the connection was so bad that I got a very weak light that often didn't work at all. The other two will stay bright as long as I continually press the two pieces of the item together to make the connection good. I don't know why someone can't make a two-headed reading light that works well.

It works well on my paperbacks. It would work great on a hardback with a loose spline. On the paperback you have to adjust the locations as you read due ti the fixed spline, but that is easy. The arms are stiff enough to maintain their position without sagging like some other lights.

I bought one of these from the book store a few days ago and I love it. I always get annoyed with book lights because they never provide enough light on the entire page I'm reading, and when I finally position it just right, I have to move it around as soon as I get to the next page. Such a pain in the a**. I was a bit skeptical over this one being able to fit the spine of any book. (When you look at the small opening that slides onto a book, you think "how will this fit on a hardback book?") Alas, it does! In fact, the very night I bought it, I brought it home and slid it right onto a copy of Stephen King's Revival. It worked perfectly. The dual lights lit up each page perfectly without me having to re-position them any time I had to turn the page. (The first time using it, I just opened the book to the half-way mark, placed the book light right there, and just left it- there's no need to even change the position of it throughout the duration of your reading.)I have pretty much done away with reading in the dark because of annoying book lights that don't work. THIS book light, however, has changed my life.Awesome awesome product.
