I love it so far
I have been using this grinder for the past week, and possibly made over 30 cups of coffee in that time. I love it so far, but there are a few things worth mentioning.Pros: nice stainless steel design. turn handle is not attached for compact storage.Ceramic grinder is smooth.Fits enough beans for 2-3 cups of coffeeGreat priceHas a base to capture ground coffeeFits in aero press (sorta, more on that later)Cons:Bean lid (on top) is secure enough during use, but is not secure enough for transport with beans. It fits an aero press, but is much longer. The side with the bean would be intuitive to stick head first into the aero press- DO NOT DO THIS! The lid is only a loose press fit (with a small o ring) to hold it in place. It will get stuck in there. Its counter intuitive as the top part of the grinder has a metal attachment point that sticks out for the crank handle, and it fits PERFECTLY into the aero press for storage. You can do this, but 1. dont store beans, and 2, dont put the metal cap in there.Threading would have been nicer, but certainly would have increased the cost. But these are all minor issues. The important part is the GRINDThis produces some great grind. It looks fluffier for some reason, but has worked perfect in my aero press, producing delicious cups of coffee. A cleaning brush is included so you can scrap any remaining grinds so that you dont have any "not as fresh" grinds mixed into your next cup. Grinding effort can only be described as "minimal" and therapeutic. I'd easily purchase another one if mine was lost or stolen.

Poor quality
I purchased this grinder a year ago. It worked well enough—though it didn't grind with the consistency that some of the other reviewers claimed. It was nice to be able to have fresh ground coffee whenever I wanted without the noise of an electric grinder. But last week it stopped working, as I was preparing coffee for some guests. The spinning ceramic burr inside is attached to the steel axle by a little plastic cone that, being plastic, broke. I wrote to the company, which promised a lifetime warranty and good customer service, and haven't heard anything back.

"Lifetime Warranty" not helpful when the company ignores your correspondence
It broke 2 days after the Amazon return window closed. Since Tanors boasts a "lifetime warranty" for this product I emailed the support contact listed on Tanors website. It has been 3 business days and no reply. Very disappointing and frustrating. I recommend looking elsewhere for coffee products.

product is fine if you only need it to work 6 months or less
I started having trouble with this and opened it per instructions and cleaned it out. After awhle the handle would freewheel and not grind anything. It did work well for 6 months....I ordered a replacement from another manufacturer. It was initially cheap feeling and the metal bent easily and did not fit well so it was easy to rebend it.........

Great for travel!
We've never been big coffee connoisseurs, but I always thought it would be nice to have a very good cup if we were to drink some to make it worth the experience. This little tiny grinder is just perfect! It's extremely portable (we already took it to a trip with a bag of whole beans), easy to operate and clean. Since I'm too lazy to clean inside, what I do is soak it in a warm solution of oxygen bleach and let it sit for a couple of hours, and voila! Looks brand new, and the ceramic is white as snow again. We've been using it 1-2 times a week (that's how infrequently we drink coffee ... And it's a lot more often than before, thanks to this baby), and I hope this is durable enough to last us a couple of years (or longer).

As far as small, manual grinders go, this one is perfect
I use this almost every day. I have a French press and an aeropress, so I can grind my coffee on different settings for either. The only drawback is that you can only grind enough coffee for one or two cups at a time, but as a single man that is enough for me. Obviously, an electric grinder would be more convenient but you obviously already know that and are looking for a manual grinder nonetheless. As far as small, manual grinders go, this one is perfect.
