Wasn’t sure what to expect. Now I have it, I love it!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m not an overly avid bike rider but I wanted something to get more exercise. I read all the reviews and thought I could do this. I had this sent directly to my local bike shop and the put it together and were very impressed with the quality of this bike. They had heard of ElliptiGO but hadn’t actually gotten to touch or ride one of their bikes and they were very excited to put one together and test it out. Their test rider said it was a very good workout in just a short time and he wanted one now! I was a little afraid of it before I got it. Once I got it I loved the way it looked, it was very sturdy I got right on and took off. I was a little unsteady at first but it didn’t take long to feel like I was just standing up on a regular bike. Better even because I was upright not hunched over. It was great and I look forward to more rides to come.

Very fun workout!
The SUB is definitely a fun and unique way to exercise. I am not particularly coordinated/ athletic but I found it easy to learn to ride the SUB, already knowing how to ride a bike. I find that with the SUB I get about the same cardio and leg muscle exercise benefit as with a regular bike but ergonomically the SUB is way better. Bike seats cause me all kinds of trouble, and the SUB completely solves that problem. I also found that I feel like the SUB is better for my back and shoulders after a few weeks of comparing the bike and SUB.This is definitely exercise equipment and not a full replacement for everything you could do with a traditional bike. It can’t go on gravel roads, the turning radius is larger than I’d want for going near traffic very much, etc. On trails that are relatively paved or packed and don’t require dodging people or cars I definitely prefer the SUB.You probably also want to check out the Elliptigo MSUB, the mountain bike version. The MSUB has bigger tires and a suspension system but also doesn’t roll quite as efficiently. I have both the SUB and the MSUB and use both. The MSUB is more suitable as a replacement for everything you’d want to do with a traditional bike.

Very different but interesting
This wasn't hard to put together when it came... but I had to take it in and have the brakes adjusted before I could put it all together. My whole family enjoyed trying it out... but I needed quite a bit of practice before being able to really ride it; the brakes are a bit touchy and I went flying onto the ground the first time.

I feel like I have to bike about as twice as long ...
Running every day was giving my achilles tendons trouble so I was looking for a different form of cardio exercise that I could do outdoors. I feel like I have to bike about as twice as long I need to run to get the same amount of exercise. This is a bit more work than cycling on a traditional seated bicycle. On the strenuous scale I think it is between biking and running. It is obviously low impact like a traditional bike but I feel like I use more core strength when standing and cycling. I believe this also qualifies as "weight bearing" exercise in terms of bone health. One's center of gravity is significantly higher on this, so it is less stable than a seated cycle. One really needs a smooth path or road, and one needs to keep both hands on the bar. The quality of the bike itself is high. With care this will last like any high quality cycle.

Intriguing
I like to ride bikes quite a bit, and am always looking at the odd ducks. Most of my riding nowadays is on a gravel bike, but more and more I have been looking into recumbents...then I tried this out...it is the polar opposite of a recumbent trike. If you were thinking, "how could I still be comfortable after riding for two hours?", your mindset would change to "How much exercise could I get in the shortest amount of time?". I loved the workout, and the Sub was much quicker than I expected. What was surprising is there is no 'glide' effect. Basically, it feels like you are climbing a hill the whole time you are riding it. I came back from a 15 minute ride up and down some gentle hills, drenched in sweat. I was ready for a rest and realized that I hadn't had a workout like that since I quit running...I'll have one if I can figure out how this is better than buying a kid's BMX bike and taking the seat off...

Saved My Life
I stopped riding 5 years ago because of problems with the seat. This bike just came out this year and it is fantastic. I didn't think that I would ever get that great cardio exercise that I got on a mountain bike, but the SUB actually gives a better work out with NO saddle problems.I have heard that runners who's knees are giving them problems are also switching. This bike saved my life by getting me back out on the road and trails!

Get one of these
Had one of these a few weeks now. Excellent bike and great for conditioning. The ride is wonderful and adds a whole different feel to bike riding. The standup position is much higher so your riding view adds new dimensions to old riding spots. Maneuverability is great and the speed you can attain is surprising. Also noticed going up hill is easier than my regular bike since leg power and body weigh can be brought into play. This model is completely serviceable by a regular bike shop as well. The bikes weight is completely manageable at under 30lbs. Glad I bought one of these. BTW my local shop confirmed the quality is excellent.

I like mine
Pros: Eight gears, small tires, handles well enough, good cardio as well as leg workout. Surprising at how hard the difficulty gets with the length of the ride. I bought it because my knees can no longer handle the punishment of running and I hate indoor workouts. I need to be outside to enjoy myself. It is exactly what I wanted.Cons: Resembles a seatless bicycle. Difference is angle of attack and a bicycle handles better. Balance one handed riding is a little sketchy for me, but I’m not that coordinated so could be me. Price. Sorta expensive for a seatless bike. All that being said I’m happy with my purchase
