Definitely worth a read!
I read Riley and Brett’s story, Still, in the Bend anthology and loved their intensity then. I was, therefore, delighted to realise that Tight was about them, as Still ended with a promise of a new relationship between them.Tight is told from three POVs: mainly Riley’s, some short snippets from Brett, and finally the mysterious Kitten.Riley is 32, never been married, hasn’t been in a relationship for years, lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Her behaviour is out of the ordinary when she first encounters Brett, during her friend’s hen weekend in the Bahamas.Brett is gorgeous and appears to be rich. He is intense and is smitten with Riley. He doesn’t talk much about his past or his business dealings. The snippets of information you get from his POV paints a pretty clear picture of what he does and his motivation.Kitten is a mystery. She’s a captive. As the story unfolds, we realise that she could be one of two people.Riley and Brett’s long-distance relationship progresses via phone calls, texts and weekends away to exotic locations. These getaways always involve Brett disappearing for an evening to take care of business. After a while, Riley begins to get suspicious about what he’s doing. She’s in love with him but she’s not sure that she trusts him 100%, and she is desperate not to have her heart broken. This was a well-written story. The denouement near the end is not a massive surprise, if you're a discerning reader, but it was heartfelt. I think the author did a great job to keep the momentum and suspense going in the story. Definitely worth a read!

Brilliant!
Another great read from Alessandra Torre . This intricate tale with it's cleverly written storyline had me hooked from the start. You could feel the grief Brett carried with him, driving his endeavours. I loved Riley, and admired her strength. Tight is dark and harrowing at times, with twists and turns you don't see coming. You won't want to miss it!

Hold on tight your in for a ride !!!
OMFG !!WHAT A READ!!!This is the second Alessandra Torre book I've read and I'm becoming an avid fan of her work. I love the way she adds just a hint of darkness to her novels that keeps you on the edge of your seat while your quite literally white knuckling the arm rests !!This book took me on a gritty, deep and twisted ride and I LOVED EVERY MOMENT.There's everything you want in a really good novel all packed into this one story. You've got intrigue, mystery, fear, passion and an emotionally charged set of characters. As you read your drawn into the world with ease like your a silent observer within the scenes that unfold, I love when an author can do that and drag me into the environment they are displaying that I feel like I'm hearing the same sounds and smelling the same smells the characters are!Riley is a small town girl that isn't quite so used to the big bad world outside of her bubble ....... then in walks Brett and with one slight touch pops her protective bubble and allows her to breathe. Only Brett is all consuming and soon she feels like she's drowning, but it's a good feeling right when you've met the 'one'?Yet how can she be sure Brett is the man she craves when she doesn't know all his secrets? Finding out those secrets could be the ruin of Riley.I can't recommend this book enough it's a must read for anyone that likes a darker, plot twisting novel.

WOW! THIS AUTHOR IS UNSURPASSED IN HER UNIQUE, MOVING AND CLEVER STORIES...A MUST READ!
WOW what a book! I have previously read and loved Black Lies and Sex Love Repeat, both of which were brilliant. I was really excited when I saw this and downloaded it straight away, and I strongly recommend that anybody who hasn't does so immediately...it's a must read. I knew it was another winner from the first page.Alessandra has an edge that's hard to define...a bravery in that she dares to be different and a talent that sets her aside from most....she isn't afraid to stretch people's boundaries and push them out of their comfort zones...sometimes cringing and sometimes kicking and screaming! Only a few others have ever reached her standard for me. Her stories are totally unique and so clever. This one in particular has a twist that I for one didn't see coming. I was convinced that another scenario would play out, and I think she leads you down that path, so there's a twist within a twist really...fabulously done. The romance is real and not cheesy, the sex scenes, whilst steamy are tasteful and not just thrown in for the sake of it and the plot/story line is just genius. I loved all of the characters and the subject matter, although traumatic and distressing, is handled with insight and empathy and without sensationialism.Another one I couldn't put down. I can't praise this author enough...if you've never tried her books ask yourself why not and bite the bullet. I doubt very much you'll regret it.

And again!!!
Yep Alessandra Torre has done it again. I adore this woman's writing and I know when a book is released I will buy it no matter what, simply because I know it will be fantastic and Tight was no different. As in all of Alessandra's books there is twist and turns and I'm never quite sure how the storyline is going to pan out. This talented lady has a unique knack that keeps you guessing however I also found Tight to be different from all her other books and was confused how Kitten and Elyse fitted into the story but that's the way it's meant to be, who wants a story where there's no surprises and you know where it's gonna end. I loved Riley's character and that she was a real 30+ yr old woman, then there's Brett he's definitely my favourite male lead in a long time I just kept hoping against hope that he wouldn't disappoint. Did he? Was he to good to be true? Was he hiding things? You will just have to read it yourself to find out and believe me until you do you really don't know what you are missing. Alessandra books just keep getting better and better and Tight is now my favourite book this yr and in my top 10 list ever along with a few other of this incredible talented author's books it's that brilliant.

Dark thriller with twists and big feels
I have read a couple of books by Alessandro Torre and loved them. This one I noticed in a listed of suggested readings when I bought another book and I hadn't seen it before. I clicked on it and read the preview and i was hooked. What I thought was a delicious romance with a swoony hero and intriguing heroine turned into so much more as I kept reading. I knew nothing about this book, didn't even read the preview blurb. You are introduced to the heroine who is 32 (thank the lord, I am getting a bit tired of the 21 year olds who seem so world weary and to know themselves so completely already) and seems to have a strong sense of herself. Her first encounter with our hero, Brett, is rather swoony. He makes a very romantic gesture and from that point on, you are rooting for this couple. The book is primarily told in the heroine's POV. Riley is a great character. She is strong and yet sensual and is confident, both in her sense of self and her sexuality. You gotta love a woman that knows what she likes and embraces it. You get a bit of Brett's POV and that is when things start to seem not as simple as you thought. Then, a third POV, a character named Kitten. I was confused at first but as the story evolved, I became more pulled into the story and horrified at what Kitten was experiencing.Twice I thought I had this story figured out. Nope, Alessandra Torre blew my mind. This is a fantastic dark erotic thriller. The way that Torre presented the POV's and unpacked the title as the novel developed was brilliant. This is one of my top reads of the year. I love great characters, chemistry and being surprised. Alessandra Torre gave me all of these and big feels. I had these characters on my mind and could not wait to get back to the story. I will think of this book for a long time.

5 out of 5 Stars
Riley Johnson is a well-behaved small-town girl from Florida who gave in to a one-night-stand during her friend's bachelorette party in Jamaica. But the man she let into her bed that night - Brett Jacobs - is mesmerized by her, and determined to make this more than a cheap one-night-stand. Riley's inital doubts about his motives fade with every day and night they spend together and with every weekend trip they make. But as their relationship progresses, Brett's strange behaviour leads Riley to become more and more suspicious. Is Brett really who he pretends to be? Where does he get all his money from? Is he involved in the drug business, or even worse than that? What I loved about this book:Great suspense up until the endQuite a dark read with a grim tone which makes it an unusually refreshing readWhat I felt needed improvement:Nothing, if not the similarities with a book with a similar book called Tears Of TessPlease note that this book contains quite a few graphic descriptions that might displease the faint-hearted. Tight is not a summer feel-good read but a dark, angsty and suspenseful romance. "My hardest day was not the first time I was raped. Or when I spent unknown hours handcuffed in my own defecation. Or when I was whipped. My hardest day was that one, when I lost my teeth. For of them, molars taken out with a tool that looked like expensive pliers."Alessandra Torre has a gift: the gift of writing extremely unconventional stories that will keep the readers on their toes from beginning to end. At the back of the book, Alessandra tells us that when she started this book, she was trying to write a simple book, without her usual psycho twists in it. But her genius mind got the better of it.The writing was just perfect: the perfect blend of description and storytelling that will make you feel like you're really living the story. We get to experience everything first-hand through a 1st person POV alternating between Riley, Brett and Kitten. And Kitten's POV is what's really going to bring a twist into the story because her identity is not revealed until the end and leaves the reader speculating about her (and her nameless captor!) all along. There is always that doubt about who Brett really is, and if he's only playing Riley. Because on some accounts, he really acts mysteriously, yet the few POV scenes we get from him don't really add up with that. And what is it about Kitten? All of that turned Tight into a total pageturner. On the one hand, Tight felt very similar to Tears of Tess (because it deals with the same subjects, and holds the same dark undertone), but on the other it was just the theme that held similarities and not the actual plot. "One helpful site provided the Top 10 Places Where Drug-Related Crime is Most Likely to Occur. We, in the last six months of "romantic" getaways, had hit seven spots."And really, if a book has a great storyline, a plot that keeps me on my toes, and characters that raise the bar (even though Riley's pseudo-naive haven't-been-plowed-in-years country-girl attitude was a bit OTT), the it can only be good. But Tight only got better by delivering a good deal of steamy scenes, which were highly appreciated!I had no idea what Tight would be about when I started reading it. Alessandra Torre is just on auto-buy for me, and you will have guessed from my review, it's adventure and a total unexpected mindfork waiting to happen as soon you immerse yourself into one of her books. If you're not afraid of reading something out of the ordinary, something twisted and gut-wrenchingly raw - well then Alessandra Torre is the best thing that could happen to you.
