Have puppy, will travel
It's perfect for our puppy! As a two dog family, we want to keep our girls SAFE, first, but it's also important for them to be comfortable. While I haven't ridden in this car seat personally, Ruby (pictures included), seems to be pretty cozy riding in her seat. When we first got it, she was light enough that she didn't trigger the passenger side airbag to activate, so I did have her ride in the front seat. However, now she's a little bigger and even though she might not be heavy enough to trigger the airbag, I'm still not going to risk it.We've ridden with Ruby and our bigger dog (Luna) both in the back seat. Luna was buckled in comfortably and Ruby was in her car seat. This way, they were together, but still had their own space. Initially I was worried about Luna accidentally stepping on Ruby or trying to get into the basket with her, but they both did really well! Our back seat is a 30/70 split and I was confident (and correct) that this carseat would install on the smaller side without any issues since it's about the same width as the front seat. However, I was excited to see that after lengthening the straps a little, it could also attach on the LARGER side! So, no matter the seating arrangements, Ruby is road ready! Her seat keeps her contained, secured, and safe. We also tightened the top strap (around the headrest) to raise her up a little so she could see out of the window. If you do this, maybe put a pillow or folded blanket/towels, etc under the carseat (between the dog's carseat and your car-seat). Otherwise, the pup will bounce around with every bump in the road, and according to Ruby, the transfer of motion is INTENSE when the seat is just suspended in the air, haha. Having something under it will help stabilize it and hopefully keep your pup from barfing.I wouldn't say Ruby LOVES riding in the car, but that's more because she's a baby and it's still new and scary for her. I CAN say that having her own seat seems to help her feel safe, and it definitely helps ME feel better about having her ride SAFELY in the car.So far, 🐾 two paws up from my little lady! 🚗

Perfect for small dogs
My relatives make fun of me.Because I have a car seat for my dog but it works great. They don't feel so confined, and they can lay down or sit up. There is a clip in the back to click the harness to so that if you have to stop short, they don't go flying. I have another one that has straps in the front that connect to the back. That give a little bit more stability than this one.But for the short trips that I take to the vet, etc.It works fantastic.

Got the dog off my leather seats
I have had a car seat like this before for a 5 pound yorkie. He loved it. He was able to look out the window and take a nap when he was tired. We purchased this one for a Yorkie mix dog that was 15 pounds. We were not sure how he would do in it but after a few trips him seemed good. He would also curl up in it and took a nap. We fostered him for about 5 months but kept the seat. It is now being used for a new puppy that has reached the weight of 5.5 pounds. He is not too sure of it just yet but will get use to it. This seat is also a safe place for a dog and keeps them from moving around too much in your vehicle.

Ok for a basic cheap option
This car seat was functional - it was easy to to install (even without any instructions; just refer to pictures) and served the purpose but I ended up returning after a couple of uses because it had some problems.First, the strap that attaches to the dogs harness to keep them in the seat is too long, even at the shortest length. My little dog (who did not want to be in the seat) kept climbing over the side and I'd find her sitting next to the car seat, not in it.Secondly, the clip that attaches to the harness is a cheap plastic; it was hard to clip on/off the harness particularly when cold out and felt like it probably would not be all that secure if an accident/impact occurred or if it had just been used a lot. I didn't trust it and didn't like dealing with it.Thirdly, there's basically zero effort put into comfort for the dog - no padding, nothing soft. It's just a nylon box basically, I put a blanket in the bottom but my pup still kept climbing out of it, she was not happy. When I tried a different once with fleece lining and a padded bottom, she stopped even trying to climb out so I think this one was just uncomfortable.Lastly, because of the placement of the straps in the front of the seat (which attach to the car's head rest), it makes it more difficult to get the dog in and out of the seat than other designs which have them more to the side. Also, when she did climb out, she'd get her harness strap tangled up with these front steps and end up sort of pinned to the side. All in all, it's a cheap option to contain a dog who's ok with being contained in an uncomfortable box. But there are better options available for not a lot more $. For me, it was worth spending a bit more.

Our dogs love these booster seats
The media could not be loaded. Once a puppy mill dog living in a cage until he was 9 1/2 years of age. Now enjoying car rides and fresh air. Love having this comfortable and safe choice for taking my pups for a ride. We have 2 sets in each vehicle! Priced well, easy to install, and good quality. I like that it does not have the Prop 65 warning on the product.
