BarianiExtra Virgin Olive Oil (Case of 6- 33.8oz Bottles)

Bariani Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil is one of the few pure unadulterated olive oils that is grown and bottled in our country. I like the dark glass bottle and that it is organic. It is a thicker olive oil and has a strong taste to it; my children think that it is on the bitter side.

I have been using this olive oil exclusively for over 10 years. Heard about it from Raymond Francis author of Never Be Sick Again and website Beyond Health. This evoo is produced by an Italian immigrant family in Sacramento, CA that grow the olive trees and extract the oil using marble presses like the ones the Romans used. This is truly extra virgen olive oil. It's delicious and fresh tasting. For cooking I use coconut oil for everything else I use Bariani! Simply the best.

I usually love this olive oil, and part of the reason I like it is because the harvest date is marked on the bottle. It's March 10, 2017, and I just received a case of 6 and they all have a harvest date of Fall 2014! I'm just finishing up my bottles from Fall 2015 and by now they should be bottling fall 2016. I won't order from this supplier again!!!

I discovered Bariani at my CSA during the 90s and remember it as a superior and tasty product. So I ordered a case (6 bottles) of 33.6 oz Bariani this fall 2010 and boy, was I disappointed!!! This oil has a BITTER finish. Sore throat bitter! I dont remember it being like this--this bitterness is memorable! Has the production changed? Does the oil get damaged by heat in a warehouse situation? First impression is pleasant but the flavor is soon replaced by an extreme bitterness.I'll use the Bariani for cooking and hope that Im not poisoning myself.

I love the fact that this olive oil is a product of a family owned and operated company. I love the fact that the process of extraction is true to the origins and art of olive oil making. But, what I love the most is the way it tastes. No, you should not use it for cooking or frying, its too special for that. Enjoy it drizzled on vegetables, salads and pasta, or just simply used for dipping.
