Velpro Mesh Pet Shoulder Harness Collar, 14", Red

I have a little 6 lb Maltese and it can be hard to find harnesses that fit her. This one fits very well and does not leave me worried that she can wriggle out of it. It’s very easy to put on and take off, it doesn’t get tangled on itself like our thinner harness does sometimes. Just a note, if you put clothes on your dog that has an opening for the harness loops to attach to the leash, the loops on this go lengthwise between shoulder blades while those holes tend to go up and down. I’m sure you can still get the leash in there if you want, I just use our other harness in that case. But I prefer this one for anytime she’s not wearing a jacket or whatever, it’s much more comfortable for her.

Great for collapse trachea or if want to protect your little one neck. I am so happy I found this harness. I have been searching for harness that wouldn't harm my fur baby neck .. collars are so dangerous especially for small breeds!.. I have never used a collar as the vet warned me when my baby was a puppy how dangerous they could be . But even some harnesses would effect her neck if she pulled any at all after many harness finally found this it goes over the shoulder and doesn't touch the neck at all! My lil one doesn't really like step in harnesses but with lots of patients praises and treats 😉 we make it work lol... But it is so worth it .. I don't really like having to remove her leash before taking it off or on but that is just a minor detail. The Velcro seems to be very strong and I haven't had any issues my baby doesn't really try to run or pull away very rarely does she pull . If you have a little one who pulls a lot I'm not sure how that would affect the harness but the design puts the pull on the ring where harness attaches more than the Velcro so I think it would still work . But this harness is so worth it to protect your babies neck and the coral color is so cute . Also if your baby is fluffy you may have to fluff the floof Everytime you remove the harness lol . I only use harness for walkies but to protect the neck and my little ones comfort it's worth it !

This harness is awesome if you have a little dog who pulls a lot! My 6 month old chihuahua was choking herself on every regular harness I bought and wouldn’t stop pulling. She still pulls a lot, but she almost never chokes or coughs with this!It’s very well constructed, my only issue is that the attachment is only Velcro. There are no buckles or snaps, and it feels slightly less secure than it could be especially if you have a particularly wild dog like I do. It’s also hard to adjust it tight enough if you have a very little dog. It just doesn’t feel quite as secure as I would like. That being said it’s a very strong Velcro, and it’s pretty secure otherwise. It’s also very well constructed, and I’m happy with the quality of it for the price!TLDR- if you have a little dog who chokes on everything else it’s perfect, the adjustability is great, the quality is wonderful, but if your pup pulls a lot and is an escape artist it may not be the one for you.Update: She has grown some since buying this harness and the adjustability has been great to grow with her! I usually just put a sweater over the harness when we go out, which helps it stay secure. To be fair, I have never once had an issue with her actually escaping it, I'm just a worrier and I get nervous about it.

Fits well. I have used two other larger size ones for years but the dogs have passed. I needed a smaller one (MEDIUM) for a new dog. Never had a dog this small, but it fits well and works as advertised. Repeat customer.

Great enough that your dog probably will not escape this harness... also, little enough but effective if you live in warmer weather and don't want your dog to have the heaviness of a warmer all over harness. I bought two.... one that she can wear, then one she can wear when I am handwashing and drying the other harness. I wish they had larger sizes, too, for larger dogs. The largest one works all right on my Scottish Terrier.

I picked up a pair of Pekingese puppies last week.I love the ChokeFree harnesses, but the leather ones are a bit expensive. Since I know the puppies will grow a lot over the next couple months, I decided to save some money and ordered a couple of the velpro mesh harnesses.I have to say I was underwhelmed by the Mesh version of the ChokeFree harness.The look and light weight are fine.The fit was a different story. They are very snug! I recommend going up at least 1 size.The slot through which you put the D-ring is very small and does not have much give. Trying to get the d-ring through the slot with a tag of any sort is simply frustrating!Once it is on, it fits the puppy well.If the ChokeFree design team would true-up the sizing and improve the d-ring slot, I would be willing to try them again. I really want to like the mesh version as much as I do the leather version. I cannot do that with the current iteration.

It is easy to put on the dog and comfortable for the dog to wear. Great for our morning walks!Also not at all unattractive.Needs to be the right size or the dog might slip out easily.
