Fantastic Test, Bring Your Own PPE
Great product, does what it says on the tin: certified asbestos testing by a lab fairly quickly. The instructions are pretty clear, my only complaint is that the included PPE are wholly inadequate for asbestos exposure (though to be fair, the instructions do say to wet the material before sampling, which does remove most of the danger). You're paying for the test though, ultimately, and as long as that is understood, it's a fantastic value. Bring your own PPE (better gloves and a solid respirator, ideally a PAPR, but at least a P100 respirator/mask). For the price though, I don't expect fancy PPE, just an accurate and relatively easy to use test that gives relatively quick results. And I got exactly that, so, 5/5 from me.

Feels like a scam
I am not happy with this product at all. It is advertised that all lab fees are covered. When I opened, it then explains that one test is not enough, and that you need at least three test spots per room, which adds up since each sample is an additional $20. So to complete my house I would need to technically send in about 21 samples and pay a whopping $420. Absolutely not! I’ll have a professional come in.

Fast and reliable
Nirtue was true to their word! Got my results 4 days after mailing off. I actually bought 3 different tests -- 1 each from different companies -- and mailed them all out on the same day. Nirtue came back first. Emailed me the results and included as an attachment. No hidden fees. Easy to fill out form as long as you read the instructions. This was for loose fill insulation in our attic, which can apparently contain asbestos. I went up there for the first time recently and noticed our bathroom fan/heater vents out onto the floor of the attic. I was concerned that we could have been breathing in asbestos for ~10 years. Fortunately all 3 tests came back negative for asbestos. The consensus seems to be fiberglass. Not great, but not terrible. So I can vouch for this product as it was comparable to the other two companies in terms of results. I only submitted 1 sample to each company (3 total as 3 is recommended for residents). I like that they all broke down the type of material and percentage of each. Very precise! And includes the name of the analyzer. The hardest part of the whole process was gearing up to gather samples. I probably went to extremes, going to the hardware store and buying a respirator mask, goggles, coveralls and a dropcloth, adding a haircap, gloves and my rain boots LOL. It took me an hour+ just to get ready to collect!

Easy, quick, and straightforward.
Results were quick and clear, I had opened up my subfloor in my 115 year old home only to find some scary looking insulation material I quickly ordered a kit, took a sample, filled out the chain of custody form, and sent it off to the lab. Results came pretty quickly, thank Gd no asbestos was detected. Thank you!In my case I actually sent two samples because there were also old tiles that I wanted to get tested since tiles also sometimes contained asbestos, the kit contains a website where you can cash app for another test I printed out the receipt stuck in the envelope with the sample and they performed both tests for me.

Nice turn-around, easy, instructions need to be read carefully
No complaints if you take your time and read the instructions. One caveat is that the test only includes one sample collection. They suggest taking three samples, so you need to go to their website and buy two more if you wish (not mandatory). This will add $20/extra sample to the cost. I don't have a problem with that and actually it makes a lot of sense. But do anticipate paying more and using your own ziplok bags for all but the first. NOTE: You can't just put multiple samples in one bag. Yes, you could, but since their testing doesn't use 100% of the collected materials, it really isn't a valid way to sample...buy three if you want three :) In my case all three came back negative. I'm very happy I took three samples. Results were timely, I think a couple of weeks. There are lab results which could be included in your home records.

Scam company
Product showed up. Was easy to use. Sent it in for the 3 day turnaround. Never heard a single thing from them. E-mailed them multiple times. It has been 2 weeks. Believe the company is a scam. As I've read more than one person has had the same issues. I would give negative stars if I was able to as this was and is an important to test be able to finish working on our home.
