Every time I run out...I buy it again. I first bought this from a door to door salesman. He cleaned my driveway, part of it. He put some on his finger and tasted it showing me it was non toxic. That said, I use it as Stain remover, straight from the bottle, before I toss the clothes in the washer, I put it on blood or chocolate and watch it break down instantly . I dilute it to clean windows. I use it for stains on carpet...full strength. It is an all over Cleaner and costs less than having bottles of things for all jobs, and it is non toxic. I have probably been buying this product 8 years or so. I tried laundry once, but it is too expensive to use for that job. Tide works and cost less for us.Update....I used 20xClear on my carpets where my male dog will mark where the other dog and cat hang out. My husband has cleaned and cleaned these places with products made especially for that problem. I could always see the stain after it dried. I thought my xClear is so good I use it....I used it straight on a cloth....after wetting the cloth first...I rubbed and rubbed the area, when then got small plastic bucket or pan, put in water, rinsed the cloth and then rubbed with the area with water from the cloth. Rinse and repeat.....after if dried the stained area was gone. I had to do this in several spots and my dog is not going in there to remark now. I can't say enough about this product. Will it keep your dog from repeat? I am clueless on that. My other dog is a fixed older female dog and the cat a male who hates the bichon...I don't know about dogs ...I do know if you have that to clean try this, with elbow grease and put on rubbed in straight from the bottle...it won't strip the color, it will work.

This stuff is worth its weight in gold. Stains on carpet? (For me, that's mainly fur ball barfs) Gone! Sticky pitch on anything (shoe bottoms, clothing, hands)? Gone! Greasy stovetop and counters? Shiny and squeaky clean! Coffee stained stainless steel mugs? Sparkling! Soapscum ring in bathtub? Spray and rinse - I don't even use a sponge - just a swish of my hand so I know I hit the spray completely around the perimeter and done! Make all this and more like new and that's with using at the 1part Advantage to 20part water. So, a bottle can last a single person like myself YEARS. I didn't even know if I could find more of this stuff when my first bottle finally ran out. I'd bought the 1st one from a door to door solicitor over a decade ago! Yay for Amazon for carrying. Plus, NON-toxic. Definitely recommend - can you tell? 😊**OK! I just have to append to this review to remark that I happened to be using this in a sink full of water and washing some of my shoes. I had my watch and a ring on my hand. And I noticed they were both sparking like they haven't in YEARS. I quickly took to my jewelry box and anything looking dingy got a dip into this and a scrubbing with just an old toothbrush and they look like new. Silver, gold, gemstones, everything is back to brilliant. I looked all over the bottle and there's not one mention it can work miracles on jewelry! But, I'm never purchasing a jewelry cleaner again. This stuff is fantastic.

I am giving this a 3 star rating because it took forever to receive the product and when I did it was empty. I was very disappointed but they did give me credit for my purchase right away so that was great. I will be ordering this product again since I have used it for about 3 decades and love it.

The first time I got advantage, it was a door to door salesman, and he proceeded to lick the straw. So it’s non-toxic. The original advantage took sharpie off of the side of a velvet type sofa (years ago). I was sold. When I get advantage, I hide the bottle. If you have a spot on a piece of clothing or anything hard to get out, advantage is an amazing cleaner. Most of the time it only needs a cap full. I know they say it’s great for the driveway but I’m not wasting mine on my driveway. You really have to try it to believe it.

This is basically concentrated 2-butoxyethanol, a relatively powerful yet not particularly toxic industrial cleaner. As of this writing, the MSDS for 2-butoxyethanol is available at http://www.sciencelab.com/msds.php?msdsId=9923187. You could mix your own because this product is expensive compared to the main ingredients: 2-butoxyethanol and water. But that's true for all end-user cleaners and pharmaceuticals, and for the convenience of ready-in-a-bottle and how well it works, it's worth the price. Let's put it this way: I'm a PhD chemist, and I don't bother mixing my own even though I could. Pay attention to the dilution instructions on the bottle: they mean what they say.
