Women’s Vegan Down Parka with Faux Fur Hood (Plus Size) - Warm Insulated Winter Coat, Jacket For Women

I purchased this coat in a 2X to hopefully work as a maternity winter coat in Wisconsin. To my delight, the coat was plenty roomy and warm, with plenty of room for my growing bump even though I'm typically a 3X. I also loved the bright color and deep hood.

I absolutely LOVE my new jacket!!For reference I am:5'8 1/2"300 lbsPear ShapedHip: 60"Waist: 46"I ordered a size 4X (which is roomy for layers) in the Grape color. (I honestly believe I could have ordered the 3X and it would have fit perfect)Here's a little backstory...We moved to Bahrain 2 1/2 years ago and left all of our winter clothes in storage back in the states because who needs winter clothes in 120 degree heat?? Well, we planned a trip to Germany for Christmas this year and guess what? WE NEED WINTER CLOTHES!! I am plus size woman and have had to order all of my clothes online while living here. (This stresses me out because I am so hard to fit!) I am pear shaped, I carry my weight in my butt, hips, thighs, but also my arms...I usually need the waist of a 22 and the legs of a 24/26 depending on the cut...so lets just say online clothes shopping/trying to determine my size from reviews is EXHAUSTING! I went round and round for months researching winter coats for myself and wondering "would they fit??" We were getting down to the wire and I needed to make a decision. I fell in love with this coat online but desperately wanted it in black but they were sold out in my size :( so I kept shopping around but found myself always coming back to this coat. I bit the bullet and ordered the coat...praying it was true to the color on the computer screen (wine) and not bright purple. The coat arrived on time and when I pulled it out I was instantly in love! The color was even prettier in person!! It's a beautiful deep wine color! I love that there is small high-vis piping on some of the seams that will definitely come in handy at night wearing a dark coat. I love the color of the fur trim (tan), the fur is big and fluffy just what I wanted. There is a bungee around the hood to pull it tighter to your face, but I do wish there was also an adjustment on the back of the hood. The hood is rather large and could definitely use that extra adjustable feature. Also, for me I wish there was one more snap or interior bungees on the sides to cinch in more but I know that I have this problem with just about every top. The jacket is super warm and has tons of pockets! I honestly don't know if I will need my "extra layers" I purchased to keep me warm. All in all I am super happy with my purchase and would absolutely order this jacket again! I hope this helps :)

I live in Iowa and it often gets below zero degrees (Fahrenheit) with the wind chill. I actually love winter so I spend a lot of time outside and I need a good coat. This coat is extremely warm. I actually get a bit too warm if it’s more than 25 degrees. Overall, I’m very happy with the coat but there are pros and cons.Pros:-Very warm!-Large pockets. I can easily fit my iPhone and keys (I have four keys on a clip with a lanyard) in one pocket and still have room for my hand. I also love the inside pockets.-The hood is warm and fits great. I was a bit worried reading some reviews that said the hood was too big. It does look big as the fur around the edge is thick, but the hood fits nicely and doesn’t droop over my eyes like other hoods.-The sleeves have cuffs that keep the wind out and keeps your hands warm.-The zipper works well so far and doesn’t get caught when zipping up.Cons:-It is a bit bulky. I probably could have ordered a size down but I’m ok with the extra room. I’m not sure if it would be less bulky though, even if I did size down.-While the cuffs on the sleeves keep you warm, it makes it difficult to wear gloves/mittens or roll up your sleeves (like if you need to wash your hands).-I wish it was a bit longer. It goes down to about mid-thigh. It would be nice if it was knee-length.

I want to be somewhat warm but lighweight coat. This was not it; it was way too heavy but nice well made coat for somebody who didn't didn't mind the weight.I see the return package via UPS pick days ago but I do not yet have a refund. They take a long time to refund.

First off I did send this jacket back because it was a tiny bit snug on me.HOWEVERFor a cold, really cold, climate this coat is very warm. It is so warm I had to take it off quickly when I tried it on. It it was freezing outdoors I would enjoy the warmth.Style was OK.Color was a tad brighter than I want to wear,that's why I sent it back, purely personal choice. Plus it was a little snug but I recently gained a little wiegh, with a few pounds off of ME this jacket would be awesome.For next winter I will consider purchasing again. But I would pick a different color and hopefully I'll be slimmer 😆I did knock off one star due to the heaviness of the coat. Somewhere in the 4+ pound range. For the price and superb warmth this jacket is a good choice.

If you’re looking for a warm jacket for the cold weather ahead, this is it. Love the length, inside rib cuff wrists and both zipper and snap closure. The hood is detachable. Machine wash and dry along with all the other features makes this coat a real winner.

This is a good quality jacket that will certainly keep you warm if you are a tall person. The reason I removed 1 star is because of the heaviness of the jacket; this jacket weighs at least 10 pds. That's what the postal office said. I'm short, 5'2". This jacket is good for medium to tall women, 5'7" and over. The sleeves on me were 6 inches too long. The hood was so big, it was swallowing me up. The hood was big enough to fit 3 heads in there. I usually wear between 1-2X but I got a 3x for room to spare for heavy sweater. It was a bit tight at the chest. I am quite busted, 42 DD and wear a size 16 pants. I was ok at the hips. Hope this helps you ladies. Note to Alpine North: Is it necessary to make this jacket so heavy? It's not very comfortable having to carry extra weight on your body coming from a jacket.

I love this coat. I got a size to big because I like it loose. It is great for cold weather and looks real nice

I love this coat. I was nervous ordering online but could not find quality plus size coats in my area. I was very happy I placed the order. The coat is very warm but not heavy. The coats great quality and I anticipate it will last for years to come. I love the pockets and that they aren’t small. They are nice and roomy if you have a big phone or just want to have your hands in them to stay warm. Oddly I noticed reviews that mentioned the coat being 10lbs. It definitely is NOT 10lbs. It is a great coat for Canadian winter weather.I got the 4x. I made sure to do a quick measure to ensure best fit. The sizing chart was easy to follow and true to size. I still have room to wear sweaters under the coat of need be.My only disappointment wasn’t with the coat itself but that Alpine North (the vendor) had a huge sale the week I bought my coat. Amazon doesn’t honour the price of the vendor even though they sold it directly from Alpine North.Over all the coat is definitely a quality product and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a good warm coat for winter.

I bought this jacket last April in red on sale. I lost weight so bought this one in smaller size. Noticed its not as thick as the other one. Less vegan feathers this year. Will be less warm. Looks like they were trying to cut cost. I hope I am warm this year.

The quality of the materials and workmanship in this coat is excellent - I love the color and fit - extremely warm - the company is very nice to deal with as I ordered 2 sizes to be sure I got a good fit and then sent the larger coat back - but I think the most important thing to me is the quality in the material of the coat for the very reasonable price, I have bought more expensive coats that weren't the quality that this coat is - and it arrived so quickly!

I absolutely LOVE this jacket💞💞 I wanted lots of room so I ordered a 4X but it is a 5X I was planning on returning it but the weather changed fast ..i kept it. It big but it is so snuggley and warm. It's the warmest jacket I ever owned. The quality is really good. For this price you can't go wrong. I recommend this to everyone ..just but a size smaller than what you wear

I got this in blue, 2X. Im 5'3", 220 lbs. Omg its beautiful. I could probably go a size down but i like to wear hoodie sweaters under and theres lots of room. Super warm too! This will do great when I need it in -20C I think. The fur on the collar is horrible, fake looking stuff like they all are and I do wish I could remove just the fur but I can remove the hood and wear a hat. Really really happy with this coat! After looking and researching quite a bit, Im glad I found this one :)
