Flavour Name:Almond From the pressing of sweet almonds (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), we obtain an oil rich in vitamins (B and E) and minerals (zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium). Almond oil is traditionally known and used in cosmetics, but it also has important properties as food use. It is first of all a good source of unsaturated fatty acids important for their ability to increase the level of HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol) in the blood and reduce LDL ("bad" cholesterol), reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It also has a mild laxative effect suitable for babies, including infants, and adults: it can also be used during pregnancy. In cosmetics it is mainly used for its emollient, softening and soothing properties for the skin of adults and children. It is recommended in all cases where the skin is dry and dehydrated. It is able to mitigate itching in case of measles, varicella and eczema. Lastly, it is also a good ally against stretch marks. Its versatility makes it a protagonist in the treatment of very dry, frizzy and brittle hair: a 20/ 30 minute pack with almond oil on wet hair, before shampoo, will restore softness to your hair. Fragrance: It has a very particular smell. Taste: By trying it, you immediately note a soft and delicate flavour. Culinary use: The high amount of oleic acid makes it stable at high temperatures, which makes it suitable for the preparation of sweets, cakes and other bakery products.
