Don't switch if your cat likes hooded pans
I have always used a hooded litter box for my two cats. Thought I would try an open one to see if it was better. Even though more pricey than what I normally spend, I figured I'd try it. The top white piece actually makes the piece smaller and harder for the cats to turn around without bumping it. The perforated "step" cuts 4 inches off the total length, and the rolled sides cut off another inch all ways around....my girls are not large cats, 5 and 7 pounds....this loss of usable space left only the middle to use....they did not like it. I also was not crazy about the neon colors that screamed litter box, I prefer darker or neutral colors that don't grab your eye when you walk into the room, after all it is a litter box with cat pee and feces in it (why draw attention to it......cats don't care what color their toilet is.) I made the mistake of reading all the positive (paid for by discounts) reviews. I ended up buying a new hooded box like always used before. Won't be buying an open pan ever again. At 35.00 this was an expensive lesson to learn, and not worth the money. The new hooded box is half the price of this open one. And the girls like having their old stand by style back again. I tossed the open pan style into recycling after three days. And it didn't prevent litter scatter any better than any other box. In fact, because they jumped out over the sides, never using the step, there was more litter on the floor than ever.

Perfect size for my small bathroom and large cat!
Just got my cat a few days ago so this is still a fairly new thing, but so far so good. Easy to assemble. My cat is larger - 10+ pounds and quite tall, and he hasn't had any issues using it as yet. He used it right away. No litter is getting flung out of the sides and no leaks or "aiming high" issues. The grate at the front seems to help catch the litter, but we're also using a litter mat, so it's hard to tell which is doing the brunt of the work. There is a good bit of litter on the mat by the end of the day, though not as bad as I've seen in other homes without this litter box grate. It's also the perfect size to fit in our small bathroom. Most boxes are much larger, which I can understand why, but when you don't have space for them... And like I said, my larger cat is having no trouble with this size. Definitely need to scoop daily though! Will update my review if my opinions change after doing our first full litter change. :)

Great boxes!!!
So far so good. These aren't tall boxes but the little lips on the sides keep the litter from being sprayed out the sides by my wild diggers. I don't know if the cats are using the little from grate to get the litter off their paws as they leave the box, but that's why I got a heavy duty mat. The best part of the boxes is how slick the interior is. Nothing sticks to the surfaces so scooping is soooo easy. They aren't huge, but I plan to get another one to hide somewhere bc they are the best I've tried and I've tried pretty much everything.UPDATE: A few weeks later, I LOVE these boxes. Spillage outside is MINIMAL. And the non-stick coating inside is AMAZINGLY helpful. It's just so easy to clean them. Highly recommend. Still.

Great if used properly
For $35ish, I guess I was just expecting a little more.It is a small box, but dimensions are listed, which was to be expected. It's actually a nice size for my apartment because fitting 2 small boxes for picky cats is convenient. My main reason for deducted stars is the part with holes that is supposed to help keep litter in is only functional if your cats use that exit.. which mine do not. They use the sides to jump out.I think if the sides were just slightly taller, and the part with holes was just a little bit longer- it'd be perfect. (Oh, and if it was black it might look a little nicer in my apartment...)All and all it's a sturdy box, it isn't cheap and flimsy like I've seen before at your typical super store but I think over thirty $ is at little steep for this item.

Buy this if you like cleaning up pee outside the litter box...
I purchased this box because my cat has a habit of launching herself out of her box scattering litter everywhere within a 100 yard radius. The good news is the Two Meows litter box (paired with a litter mat) does indeed significantly reduce the amount of litter scattered in my bathroom floor. However, there is a huge design flaw with this box. There is a small gap on the back side of the box where the two plastic pieces snap together. Frequently when my averaged-sized 10 lb cat goes into her box to pee, the pee-stream hits the back side of the box, drips through the small gap and puddles under the box. Imagine having to mop around the litter box every two days, picking up the box and wiping the urine off underneath, as well as sweeping up wet, pee soaked litter. NOT FUN.

Good cat box, much better than most other options.
The Two Meows cat box solves, or nearly solves a couple litter box problems we were having. Firstly, this thing is slick. As in, stuff does not stick to the sides *at all*. This makes scooping relatively easy. The lip on the front does a pretty good job of keeping the litter inside the box, which has been a problem for a certain pet that like to pile litter onto one side until a mountain is formed. With the old box, this would spill onto the floor, with the new box, no problems. We still get some litter on the floor, however. The cats will tend to simply jump over the sides when done. I don't really see how this can be helped with an open-top box, so no real complaint there. The lip on the front does make scooping ever so slightly less convenient, since it hangs over so far. However, I think this is a completely worthwhile trade-off.
