I took careful measurements and ordered a small based on a 27 inch wast and the bust size. The size S (small) corset's smallest waist point measured only 21 inches ( that's twenty-one !!) with a 1 inch gap in the back where it laces up (and yes there are back-side eyelet laces). The construction was great with very strong stays, there is a faux-sued lining on the inside that feels nice. This was for a costume, so I made my own back panel (up to 7 inches wide at the back 5 inches at the wast - to equal 27 inches after lacing) to use this. It was a day of work that I had not planned on; but, I did like the front-side appearance so much that I wanted to make it work out.

The buttons are hard to close. When you do the second one the first one comes undone and so-on. By the time you get it on you'll be sweaty and exhausted but you'll look darn good.

I used this for a costume and it was perfect!
