Best Coated Bass Strings
I’m a regularly-gigging bassist for a classic rock band, and all of my basses are equipped with Elixir strings. They hold tone the longest, are smooth on the fingers, and make me a better player. If you doubt me, try a set and compare them to what you’re using. I use the SS ones on my Spector NS Ethos HP for a brighter tone, and the nickel ones on my Fender P/J, my five-string Yamaha, my Rickenbacker 4003, my Sire V10dx and my 1983 Guild Pilot. These strings are ~$40 a set (look for sales), but they are worth every penny if you’re serious about playing and want to sound good.

Low bottoms & crisp midst & highs
I am a fan of the brand & the sound is fenomenal as well as having extremely long playability. If you are looking for that growl & aggressive tone that you hear in jazz, funk, & other genres, these are the strings for you, they have warmth when you need or want, you can't go wrong with these quality strings

Insanely good for touring musicians
The price tag is capital S STEEP , for me anyways but they're beyond worth it ! After playing so many shows you're quite obviously going to be tired so maintenance doesn't take as much of a priority as it should , with these though? My strings are never not bright and like new ! These maintain their tuning and tone stability no matter what they're put through , I don't even have a guitar case , I use a gig bag and these are STILL in perfect condition. Using a stingray bass I need bright strings that will compliment the naturally bright tone of the guitar, and these have never disappointed. Always bright , always in tune , always smooth . I don't think I'll ever choose another brand for my bass strings.

Great quality, delivery slow!
It took forever to come. But they’re the best strings in the market.

LONG lasting, bright, zingy, and full. Balanced mids, smooth lows, crisp highs.
I've been string chasing for decades. I always come back to Elixirs. I prefer the brand new, fresh out of the box, round wound sound. I blow through a pack of most string brands after a week or two. With 4 basses in my rotation constantly gigging, recording, and practicing... I would blow $100 per month on strings easily. Elixir has solved this. Both the nickels and steels sound great. The nickels are a bit warmer and the nickels are a bit brighter. However I would consider them both to be a more slap, shimmer type of string. Again, that's exactly what I'm seeking. I get 3 months easily out of a set instead of the usual 2 weeks. I've pushed them as far as 6 months on basses that aren't used every day.
