Great Solar Charger
I used the charger to charge an Anker 10000mHa power core from pretty much dead to full. Started charging at 8:30 in the morning and when I checked at 2:20 pm the power core was full. Then I hooked up a 3350mHa "lipstick" power bank that I had used to top off my cell phone yesterday and it should have been pretty much empty too. I nursed the charger along by moving it around the yard until 3:30pm and this time of year that was about it because of trees so I stopped at that point. 7 hours of full sunlight charging time more or less with about 5 hours 45 minutes to charge the 10000mHa power core. I'm Not sure how much it charged the smaller one but it is an older one that only has a 1 amp charge capacity so it takes longer to charge than the bigger one that has a 2 amp capacity.None of this is scientifically done, just a real-world test. My conclusions are: 1. The charger, as indicated by Anker, will charge the best under full sun with minimal clouds to disrupt the charging. 2. It may be best to charge a battery pack and use that to recharge your device(s) after the sun goes down. If you just hook up your phone it will charge, but once full you can't take advantage of more sunlight unless you have something else to charge too. Even if you do have another phone to charge I still think it would be better to have a battery pack or two to charge up. The only caveat to this would be if you have a rechargeable flashlight you need to charge. Obviously it would be better to charge it during the day since you might want to use it when it gets dark! You won't have to keep an eye on a large battery pack as much as a cell phone to see when it is finished charging. If you forget to check a cell phone you might waste some of your solar charging time once the battery is full and not charging anymore. A larger battery pack will give you a lot longer time in between checking to see how the charging is progressing. Finally- 3. use the shortest charging cord you can. This I found out while researching portable mobile chargers. Several reviews I read talked about using long micro USB charging cords with poor results. Once they started using short cables the results improved. Conclusion: As long as you have a bright sunny day without too many clouds the Anker 15W Dual USB Solar Charger works great. It will charge a 10000mHa battery pack in about 6 hours and still be able to keep charging (at least mine did). It seems well made and should be durable with proper care. It is light and at 11 × 6.3 inches folded it is easily carried in most backpacks. Anyone who truly wants to be prepared for emergencies should seriously consider either the Anker 15W Dual USB Solar Charger or it's bigger brother the Anker 21W Dual USB Solar Charger.

Exactly What I Wanted for Camping
I bought this for use while camping, in conjunction with an AmazonBasics Portable Power Bank - 16,100 mAh. I figured I'd load up the battery during the day, then charge anything that needs it at night. It worked really well. In direct sunlight, these panels will charge an iPhone 6 in about 3-4 hours (YMMV). It's fairly lightweight, fits in a daypack easily, and survived being played with by a 6 year old at the campsite. Temperatures ranged from 35 F at night to 85 or 90 during the day, with no problem from the charger. Put in in the sun and it starts charging.Make sure you hide the item being charged in the shade or in something that will redirect the heat, because the panels get quite hot sitting out in the sun (as one might expect). Just tucking the phone under the panel is probably not shady enough. I wrapped my phone in a sweatshirt and used that as a prop for the panels, and that seemed to work just fine. It does charge when it's a little cloudy, up to a point. The big feature is that it automatically comes back on to charge when the sun comes out again. Some other brands don't reset when they've come out of cloud cover. On top of that, the Anker customer service is very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting a defective unit which was quickly trouble-shot by the CS guy and replaced with next-day air and a free return of the bad item. I am a huge fan of companies that invest in customer service. The new one is awesome. I am currently using it on my deck or sitting in a sunny window to charge the portable battery. Yes, it is slower than plugging it in, but the cheesy grin factor from charging it for free is high.It has two USB ports, but it's probably more effective to charge one thing at a time unless you really need both done at once. I did not try using the phone while it was charging, but once it gets some juice stored up it would probably be ok.In summation, this product was successfully field tested in actual dirt and weather conditions with the consensus from my fellow campers that they are all going to buy it too.

Anker "LITE" 15w is awesome!
I PAID FULL RETAIL! I AM A VERIFIED PURCHASER! HERE IS MY UN-BIASED REVIEW/THOUGHTS: this product arrived in a timely manner, is light weight, feels of great quality and from what I know of this technology (not a whole lot), it seems to do just fine. I have a 6-inch "phablet" that had 50% charge left in the big battery. I did a test at 2:10PM EST on a sunny day to see how it would do. Keep in mind, it is winter and we are further away from the sun and at 2:10PM this time of year, the sun is not in optimal position. Regardless of that, I did a 45-minute test and my battery went form 50% to 58%, which I feel is just fine. We plan on ordering 8 of the 21w "LITE" Anker versions and putting them on top of our 8 outside patio table umbrellas at our restaurant starting in March. We are Blessed with being blasted by direct sunlight from the time the sun rises, until it sets behind the restaurant at night. We want to offer free cell phone recharging stations for customers that decide to eat on our outdoor patio seating area. We are a stones throw from the beach and customers always using up their cell phone batteries listening to music, taking pictures, video, etc and always asking if we have somewhere that they an plug their cell phone in when they take lunch break from beach. Problem is, we really do not have convenient way to charge their cell phones, which is why we will have the Anker 21w solar panels for the customers to plug into while they eat. We are thinking that the average customer will take close to an hour to eat and feel that the Anker 21w or even the 15w "LITE" models, would help a lot. Better than nothing and it can handle 2 cell phones at same time! Highly recommend this product to anyone!
