It's a beautiful fan! Perfect for a bedroom.
Fan got here on time, was well packaged and easy to open. The instructions were simple enough for a third grader, all the parts were there and a couple extra small parts were a joy because I dropped a screw and it vanished into subspace. The assembly was a breeze and final install went very well. I am a retired electrician so this was approximately my 9,234 fan I've mounted! It's a beautiful fan, fit & finish are exactly what I would expect from Hunter! Look no further, this is an excellent fan for a reasonable price.'UPDATE' Bought this fan September 2017 and now it's January 2020. The fan is still silent, we use it almost continuously in the upstairs bedroom to move the warm air around. The switches still operate perfectly, The balance is still perfect and the fit and finish are like new. Highly recommended purchase!

Excellent fan, had it for 6 months now
I've installed probably 10 ceiling fans over my life now, and this was an excellent choice. Very easy to install, instructions are easy to understand and fairly accurate, parts are well made, and it looks good. On the operation side, it is pretty quiet for the amount of air moved, and it does move a reasonable amount of air. I liked it so well I bought two! My only down side is that I wish it had a speed in between it's current "high" speed and the "medium"...it feels like the medium is a bit too slow for the bedroom, in the dining room it's fine.

Nice smaller fan
I had to get a smaller fan due to the location of the light in our basement bedroom. There isn't enough room for larger blades. So this fan is smaller than would be optimal for the room size. However it is certainly better than no fan!. This fan has a nice quiet motor, looks nice, and had pretty good installation instructions. I bought it "used very good" from Amazon, and I have to say it appeared brand new but saved $40 or so. Overall a very nice fan. I replaced the bulbs with slightly more powerful LEDs and standard size bulbs fit which is very nice.

Quiet Small Fan installed with and without light kit
This fan is nice, smooth and quiet. I purchased two of them, one for our kitchen and one for the mother-in-law's kitchen. It is a smaller fan, good for a small bedroom or kitchen, but has wider fan blades which move a decent amount of air. I purchased the bronze model, which has reversible fan blades, one side darker than the other. I used the lighter blade color, which is the one pictured. The darker color is more of a dark cherry. Ease of installation is about 4/5. Hunter makes fans which are easy to install ("5 minute fans"). This isn't one of them, but it isn't terribly difficult either. (The challenge was figuring out the unusual wiring in my 50 year old house). About the only annoyance is that I installed the first fan with the light kit, and the second fan without the light kit. It is easy to install without the light kit, and looks great. However, the installation instructions do not tell you how to do it! Instead, the instructions direct you to Hunter's web site, where you look up your type of fan for directions. Really, it would have added, at most, one more page to the instructions. Instead, I had to drop what I was doing and pick up the computer to find it. The fans come with "balancing kits," which I've not seen before with Hunter fans. The first fan I installed with light kit was perfectly smooth, no wobble. The second fan came with two "balancing kits," and I guess they must have known something because it had a bit of a wobble (I don't know if this resulted from the fan or installation; but I'm guessing fan because of the included balancing kits.) The balancing kits work well for locating and remedying the source of the wobble, which appears to be a slight difference in the blade arms, angles and blades. Basically, you add a small weight to the top of the offending fan blade. The other downside of this fan is that it doesn't use standard size lightbulbs, but instead the smaller diameter pointy kind (that resembles a candle flame.) Some are included with the fan, but finding and keeping replacements around the house is an extra hassle that adds to the cost of this fan if you're using the light kit.

Best Ceiling Fan for the $$
After searching all the big box stores and all over the internet, ordered this for $89 from Amazon.Pros:This fan puts out! Moves more air than my six other fans, which are all of bigger diameter.I have Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay, and another Hunter, and this one is the quitest.Fits great in a small room. A 34" fan may look too small in a big room, but in a bedroom it looks great.Looks great, really good quality.Pull chains are long enough for more 5" tall wife to reach (only one in the house that she can)Puts out good light with the 2x candelabra bulbs (supplied)No vibration out on the box. Hunter is the only brand I bought that didn't wobble until balance. I used the supplied balancing "kit" on another fan that I had that was wobbling.Cons:Not the easiest fan to install. If I did it again, would be much quicker. Not "flush mount", it does hang off the ceiling down to 18.5", at the bottom of the light so don't expect a "tight" fit to the ceiling.May look "small" in large rooms. But, bottom line, it is cheaper and puts out more air and is quieter than anything else I have and it looks really good, so I would recommend and buy again.
