This series is one of the best there is! Redemption is home to amazing characters. Farrah has been through hell and she still finds her happily ever after. Definitely one to read over and over.

Sometimes you have to break free from you ‘old’ life, to find love and friendship
Let me start by saying that if you have read and enjoyed the ‘Hope Valley’ series of this writer than you will love this story ‘Bad alibi’ (and the new series ‘Redemption’) too! It has the same vibe to it as the ‘Hope Valley’ series. You don’t have to read the ‘Hope Valley’ series first to read this book.I discover this writer (Jessica Prince) through the ‘Hope Valley’ series and it’s one of my favourite series. So I was very looking forward to her new series ‘Redemption’ and especially the first book ‘Bad alibi’. Just like the books in her ‘Hope Valley’, this story too had a ‘Kristen Ashley’ feeling to it. And being a big fan of the writer Kristen Ashley, that made me very glad but this time it also made me a little bit conflicted on the story. Because one of my favourite story of KA is ‘Sweet dreams’ and this story reminded me a bit of that story and that made that I couldn’t really loose myself completely into the story. What was sad because ‘Bad alibi’ is a great story and I’m sure that if I read if for the second time, I will enjoy it more because than I will already know what is coming. I don’t say that this book is a copy of ‘Sweet dreams’ but if you are like me and you have read a book so many times that you know what is coming out of your head, you do (unwillingly) compare stories that has the same feel to it.So now about the story itself, like it said, I enjoyed it very much. Farah was such a wonderful character, strong in her own way, sweet, caring, thoughtful, gentle and kind-hearted. She may come from a rich background but she certainly didn’t acted like a rich, spoiled woman. No! She’s a very warm woman, who’s looking for a home, love and friends. And I’m so happy that she found that in this small town! Cannon’s character was great too, alpha, respectful, interesting, protective and sexy. I liked the chemistry between Farah and Cannon and their interaction with the secondary characters. Their family and friends were fantastic too. I really loved them. You really felt the love, the friendship, the connection between everyone. I can’t wait to read more about them in the next books. In this story we got both POV’s (but a bit more of Farah than Cannon). This book is a great start of a new series.

Farrah and Cannon
Although this was a dual POV book, it was told more from Farrah’s point of view than Cannon’s. Farrah had been through some unimaginable situations in her life and was starting over in Redemption. She was finally free to make her own choices and be her true self. She was a very strong FMC and it took her awhile to trust her feelings for Cannon. As much as I liked Farrah, I liked Cannon just as much. He had grown up with parents who showed him what a good, loving relationship was supposed to look like and until he met Farrah and found out about what she’d been through with her family, he’d taken that for granted. Cannon gave Farrah everything she had craved in her childhood and Farrah have Cannon something he didn’t even know he was missing. Farrah and Cannon had some obstacles to work through, but they were perfect for each other. I loved all the side characters, especially Cannon’s parents and Jase and Beckett, Farrah’s family. I can’t wait to read Jase and Poppy’s story next!

The pet names was too much
This was an ok read. There were a lot of typos, though, which is kinda bad for an author at this level. Even the brother’s name, Jase, is spelled “Jace” a few times. Ugh.I liked Farah, though she seemed almost too good to be true. I get she has money, but who works as a waitress to give all her tips to her friend AND also babysits? Nothing against waitressing, but it is hard work and you’re disrespected a lot. You’d think Farah would use her time to do something more beneficial without having to worry about bills or bosses like the rest of us. It was also a little much to constantly read how she was so “unloved” and neglected by her parents. Why that was such a focus, especially to make Cannon feel bad for turning her away at first, when she had Jase and Bennett, was annoying. Her assault was what made me want to read more about her. It was great how she worked through that and started her life over.Cannon was meh. I found it hard to believe he loved Farah at first sight when he slept around the same night and after. Just be honest and say you found her attractive, but clearly not enough to pursue until after fate dropped her at your body shop AND after he dissed her. He just seemed like a lazy playboy that expected her to come to him. He also seemed too into into former friend, Sage. Always commenting in his head that he thought they’d end up together, and having his own pet name for her. Again, he was meh. I thought Farah deserved better.Overall, it was a decent read but not one of my favorites. I am curious to see how Jase’s story goes, and the back story on Jensen and Shane. Hopefully both are better reads.

great read
Great little read. Both the main characters, Cannon and Farah were easy to love. The heartache Farah suffered was hard to read, but the author did a great job in sharing just enough details to make the reader understand without it being overly dark. Plenty of scene setting for the rest of the series.

Bad alibi
I really loved this, it was sweet, sometimes sickly so, but it was exactly what i wanted at this moment. I loved the relationships Farah made with everyone and i love how two wonderful people came from such awful parents. I thought there should have been a bit of other woman drama, but i can live without it today.

Good,
Parts of the story I enjoyed and other parts felt a bit fluffy. I liked the characters but didn't feel a connection.

bad Alibi
This was a super cute small town romance that has a bit of suspense too. I love when I think know what is coming next, then the author throws me for a curve ball that has me nodding my head and say “oh thank you!” out loud. This is a great start to the series and I’m looking forward to diving into the rest.

Great read.
This was the 1st time I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved her writing style and all the characters were lively and lovable. The chemistry between Cannon and Farah was off the charts and i loved the banter between them. I'm definitely going to read the rest of the series!
