The media could not be loaded. Brief background: I am a physician living in a very polluted city, study the effects of industrial and traffic related air pollution since 1995, test different air purifiers, filters and air quality monitors, have PURCHASED most of my equipment from Amazon and publish some webpages about air pollution. I am very sensitive to air pollution and usually detect spikes several minutes before good sensors detect them. They tell I am an expert on air pollution and ask for my opinion quit often even in the Congress of my country (no kidding)This will be very brief because I cannot write long reviews any more -as did it for Awair, when I myself purchase the device.Advantages:1- Excellent quality2- Excellent response from turning on. Just 20 seconds3- Better than AQI reports4- Easy to use. I recommend using it as it comes and do not lose time converting to AQI or converting to particles by cubic feet5- Counts particles, a lot better that reporting mass concentration. As a physician I prefer LDSA: Lung deposition surface area6- I have learned a LOT OF NEW FACTS, that experts do not know about (many THANKS DYLOS)Disadvantages:1- NOT PORTABLE, Main disadvantage I cannot take it with me when showing pollution to the media. (Fortunately I am getting access to nanoparticle counters more often now :) )2- Cannot connect it to USB port3- They do not mention how to use it! Incredible! I mean the useful uses!!!4- Poor packing for such a good piece of equipment like this. You would expect a box like awair's or airmentor's5- Lacks PM10 standardsComment: There are many things others consider disadvantages, but they are TRUE advantages.I cannot tell f it makes any difference when verifying air purifiers performance because the Dylos DC1100 PRO-EMI supposedly is not interfered by ion emitters or plasma wave technology, and I just have this2017/0726 Update* I connected my dylos to an inexpensive small portable APC UPS and it is working great.* When talking about PM2.5/PM10 personal monitoring, this is the best
