This thing is an absolute beast. It does a great job adjusting between low and high flow rates and temperatures. Turning it all the way on high heat makes the thing feel like a blast furnace. It works extremely well if you need to bring materials up to a very high temperature.

Working very well after few months of heavy work, definitely a good product. Heat is adjustable and is important as this gun generates serious heat

This Craftsmen heat gun is excellent. I use this mostly for heating shrink tube after electrical work and it does exactly what I need it to do.

Seems like a waste of time to review an item I have used once, but thats what Amazon has always asked for, so here goes. I pluged it in and half shrunk a small piece of shrink tubing and it worked fine. If there is somthing wrong here I won't know for a while.

I decided to try some of the new low temp solder wire connectors. I found that the cheapo 300w offered as a companion buy did not cut it. While it's hot enough to do shrink tubing, It simply doesn't deliver enough heat to melt the solder. The Craftsman has a variable heat control and I found up near the max setting does melt the solder and does the shrink.
