The threads on the bolt stripped first time by removing a ball joint on an Audi. The tool it’s fine for outer tie rods and end links but DEFINITELY NOT for heavy duty.

Not built for it's intended purpose, although may of been ok for a track rod end. Threads stripped on first use (lubricated before hand too) trying to remove lower balljoint on an audi a6. Personally think the threads are too fine for heavy duty stuff, bought same tool from halfords instead and it worked first time.

Good heavy, well made item. Used it on both my Volvo and Land Rover. Helps speed up some maintenance tasks. Good to have in the tool collection.

Used to break some very tough ball joints on a jeep steering knuckle - really good weight to them, seem well made, did the job no problems.

It managed one joint on a set of controle arms. While splitting the second joint, the threads sheared off like butter. Borrowed a good quality one from a neighbour which worked a treat on all the remaining arms.

I like that it has a ball bearing in tip and I wound it up very tight and it’s didn’t strip the thread.
