SKLZ Rapid Fire - Basketball Ball Return Trainer

I installed the SKLZ Rapid Fire Basketball Ball Return Trainer on my Spalding Beast Portable Basketball Goal with 60" glass backboard and it fits perfectly. The unit rest on the top corners of the backboard while screw in clamps secure it to the glass. The clamps are fitted with foam padding to provide protection against any scratching or anything hard coming into contact with the backboard while securely mounting the unit.Installaion took about 15 minutes with all required tools being supplied. The fit is secure and the product works as advertises. Now practicing free throw shots or any shot for that matter results in the basketball being quickly returned to the shooter whether he makes or misses the shot. I originally purchased several additional basketballs to provide a little quicker shooting experience before purchasing the SKLZ Rapid Fire - Basketball Ball Return Trainer, but after installation I was able to get many more returns and shots using a single ball than I did prior to installation using 8 balls and now I don't have to chase any more balls around.The only negative I found and the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars was the plastic bases. The plastic bases which are supposed to be filled with sand and used to hold the net were cracked near the screw holes on delivery. Not sure if these were damaged during shipping as there was no obvious damage to the box and everything seemed to be packed very nicely. These bases are made of a brittle thin plastic that are not very durable and doesn't seem that they would hold up to the torture young kids would inflict on the bases moving them around on a concrete driveway. Fix the bases with a heavier duty material such as a five gallon bucket, and I'll gladly change my review to 5 stars!Amazon promptly shipped out a new product and took care of the return as well. I absolutely love ordering through Amazon!!!I would still highly recommend this product especially for practicing free throws and even 3 point shots or shots from the base line. A little pricey at first but the return on investment will be great with the extra practice that you'll actually get using this product.

For the money, I don't know that you can get anything even remotely comparable to the Rapid Fire.Setup is easy and straight forward. The net base can be a bit heavy (as it should be), so if you have smaller kids don't expect them to be able to move these with ease.You can angle your shot and get a consistent return at most any angle, but there will always be a ball or two that gets over the containment system. Depending on the weight of the ball and where it hits, it can actually move the net base slightly requiring some adjustments from time to time.My biggest complaint is that while I did purchase this back in the fall, I have had 2 of the systems nets rip or tear. I put the net away when not in sure, but have had a few of the chords break which creates a hole in the net and allows the ball to fall through. I contacted SKLZ support and they sent a replacement within a couple of weeks. That replacement net now has a tear in it as well. I don't believe that I am using the system beyond anything it was intended to handle and it is well taken care of. So I am a bit disappointed with the net itself.If they addressed the net issue, I would give this a 5 star rating without question.

Definitely a worthy investment. This system makes shoot-a-round much more fun. You will definitely improve your shooting after using this system because it keeps you in rhythm and more focused on shooting. I contest those who are saying this will make you lazy. Opposite is true for me because it makes me want to shoot more baskets. Setup was breeze. The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the rusting of the screw after leaving it on the backboard on a rainy day. Other than that the system works great and setting up different shot angles is quick and easy with the clip on system. Some complained about the netting, but I don't have any issues with it so far. Compared to the lifetime pop-a-shot arcade basketball system, this net is way more durable imo.

Good quality product although the net is much shorter than expected. I thought it would extend to the free throw line or more. You can stand further back but the ball will be delivered to your ankles. The item photos show it being used with a lower hoop which makes the Rapid Fire net look longer.

This far exceeded my expectations! Setup was straightforward and only took about 30 minutes to setup including the sand in the bases. If you or your kids (I would say ages 12 and up as the return does come back fairly quickly) us this you will probably get 10 times as many shots in a shooting session as you would without it. I guaranty there will be a dramatic improvement in shooting skills by using this. The construction is very solid, in fact the clamps that go on the backboard are a heavy duty metal and it all looks nice and it is also to store the net at the end of the day as it literally takes 1 -2 minutes. I was a little skeptical when I purchased this, but I can't recommend it enough as the "value" you will get from this system goes far beyond the cost. I bought it for my 16 year old daughter and she loves it!

net is kinda small. only catches the missed balls at abt 80%. if net was a foot or two wider on each side and two feet longer, this would have been a great item.

My son love this thing! I bought it to act as a net behind the backboard to keep balls out of my neighbors yard, which it works well for, with a little adjustment since it's not really made for that. I went with this product instead of other nets because others I saw were about a hundred bucks, and for 20 more you get a much more versatile product. The brackets that attach to the backboard are solid steel, and set up in minutes. slap it on, tighten the wing nuts by hand. Once my son saw he could move the poles so he could practice foul shots, he was loving it.One note: one of the plastic bases arrived cracked, probably from shipping. I emailed the company, got a response in less than an hour who wanted my address to ship me a replacement. Excellent service.

We bought this for our 15 year old, so he could practice basketball shots without losing the ball in the snow. It works great and can be moved quickly and easily out of the way for lay ups. He loves it.

best piece of equipment I've ever purchased. our kids can shoot for hours now.

Have no idea how the product will work as arrived with broken pieces...next time walk into store and purchase...learned my lesson...
