Great product with wonderful support
I have had the ClearVUE 1800 for about 6 months now and it is working great. I purchased the remote and electrical box with the package. Instructions were very straight forward, and I took their advice and had a friend assist me with lifting it on to the wall. Everything fit very well and leveled out nicely. Then I had electrical problems.First the remote did not work, and they sent a replacement the same day after talking extensively, troubleshooting, and exchanging photos of the system and my installation. Then I had a problem (spoiler alert - I caused the problem) with electricity; not enough power was getting to the system. Again, they answered my emails within an hour or two and then got on the phone to troubleshoot. In the end, I had wired the motor up incorrectly. I was overconfident since I had wired up my garage with 220, and another two 220 machines. The wires they used were a different color than I was used to, and though I am green-blind, I went ahead and wired it up without getting a second opinion. They happily stuck through the whole troubleshooting mess, and were very helpful and kind throughout. The machine has excellent suction, and everything works perfectly. I have a wood shop about 20x30 and have it hooked up with steel pipe to J/P, Tablesaw, and bandsaw. Sanders and CNC will be hooked up soon. THanks Clearvue!

The Best Cyclone made !!!.
This is the best deal on the market for a built in cyclone. There are only 2 companies making decent cyclones , Clear Vue and Oneida . The rest , especially the Asian ones with short cones do a poor job of dust separations and clog the filter also twice as fast as these. Clear Vue is sold mostly by word of mouth by happy customers. Oneida has a huge advertising budget and you pay for it. This unit is big for a hobby wood shop in a car garage but will last you the rest of your life. If your on a budget, like most of us, this is a great unit for DIY. You can buy the basic cyclone with out a filter and motor. I bought a used 5HP motor at auction for $200. Plans for the blower housing are free . A sheet of MDF or ply is $40. Super easy to make. I Exhaust out doors and don't use a filter. There is almost no fine dust coming out of the unit. No need to spend big $. 6" S/D duct work is also inexpensive for the duct work. I recommend the 16" impeller for the best suction. They also sell a 15" . I have no connection with this company or Bill Pentz. Just like the product for my wood working. Bottom line- The diameter of the impeller determines the CFMi for all all brands, That's all that really counts.

Best Cyclone, Best Woodworking Dust Collection Method, Best Company.
I've owned this system for some time. There are several advantages.First, the system works. If you google Bill Pentz you will quickly learn that most woodworking dust collecting cyclones are NOT optimally shaped for catching wood dust. Second, you will quickly learn that they are not powerful enough to capture the finest, fastest moving particles. THIS ONE IS!!Second, this system is cool. It's clear! You can see the dust swirl into the trash bin, and there is something extremely satisfying about watching the dust that might have been floating around your shop sucked violently out of the air you breathe and dumped unceremoniously into the waste can where it belongs. The kids love to watch it too.Third, this cyclone is set up to use cheap sewer & drain pipe (S&D or 2729 to the local plumbing supply/irrigation supply places) Fittings and pipe are inexpensive, easy to work with, and easy to re-arrange.Fourth, Clear Vue is a great company when support is needed. When I first purchased the system, telephone assistance was easy to get. Emails were promptly returned. This month, I unpacked my Clear Vue CV1800 from four years of storage (I moved) and Clear Vue has answered two phone calls concerning installing it under a lower ceiling, and assistance with repairs from damage the movers caused. THE COMPANY IS AWESOME and won't leave you stranded.Buy the thing. Your lungs will thank you.

The best collector for the best price!
If you are in the market for a dust collector, this is the one that you should be aiming for. After reading up on Bill Pentz website (a must read for a woodworker who wants to live to a ripe old age) I decided I had to use his design. The efficiency of this collector is amazing. It separates so much before ever hitting the filter. You can go for a long time filling and emptying the drum before the filters ever need anything close to a cleaning. I do recommend the 16 inch impeller with 16 inch housing for best cfm, but that also depends on your shop size and the tools you are running. One of the best things about these cyclones is the company. I was in and out of contact with ClearVue seeking advice and looking for the best prices (which always come around the holiday season). These are the nicest people and will help you every step of the way. I have since parted ways with my dust collector and my big tools after a major accident in my shop, due to my own stupidity, but I sure was sad to see the ClearVue go. It is truly an amazing piece of equipment.
