Hard to find 1080p TV’s these days HDR works on PS5 not series X
Now is it me... are Full HD 1920x1080 televisions getting harder to find. I’ve scoured many sites and honestly HDR wasn’t a deal breaker for me but it is a nice addition. But many FHD TVs are not FHD instead they are 720p (cough) LG when you check spec sheets. Epically 2020-2021 models, most models I found were 2019 or below for 1080p above 2019 and you get FHD HDR 720p... 720p is HD Ready era, that was a nightmare spent a grand on a Panasonic 42, good memories though of Gears of War on the OG Xbox 360 with the HD cables. Now my old TV was an old LED LG. Fantastic TV, but sadly the power board has had a problem crop up and I’ve already had the light reflector in the TV repaired twice and I said to myself “If I had another problem I’m getting a new one with an extra guarantee” and the prophecy came to be. Initially I was going to get another LG, but as I’ve said at the start most of them are 720p even though they state 1080p, spec sheets don’t lie Argos LG be wary people, check, check and check again, check those specs, check that mount, check the bolts as you won’t get bolts then you wonder why there are no bolts and you end up losing your bolts finding those bolts. Some other TV brands like Hisense, Phillips and even some unknown brands peaked my fancy... but Samsung haven’t steered me wrong. I ordered a 4K LG and all I’ve had are problems with it and I had to send it back and got a Samsung curve. I must say the screen is much sharper on games on Samsung. Now back to this TV, it’s lighter than my old LG LED 32 which I like. When that LG had a problem I hated lifting it up and down. Screen is much sharper I find that with Samsung (call it preference) but all my LGs I’ve had always lacked in screen fidelity no matter how much you twiddle with the settings. Now as for sound my old LG hands down is much better, I’ve got to give LG that, they had good speakers. This Samsung has decent sound but once you hit a certain level you can hear sound degradation and that isn’t the TV it’s just inferior speakers, though a cheap sound bar can fix that as most TV speakers these days are rubbish anyway, as the money goes into the screen. But for my uses it will do for me.Now 1080p HDR does work, works on the apps, works on my PS5 disc/digital for games like Metro Exodus enhanced and 4K HDR films... now series X doesn’t work as the HDR for that needs to be running on a 4K signal (4K TV), so far there is no 1080p HDR for the series X yet so HDR does work just not for series X.How does the HDR look... it’s pretty nice, I mean the blacks are black, colours do pop and does what it says, it gives you the HDR treatment. Going from my 7300 and 7500 to the 5300 (this model) it holds its own. Metro Exodus enhanced looks stunning on it and if the series X was compliant it would be cool to see. It’s not an OLED, QLED, AMOLED, it’s just an LED with some HDR thrown in, if you want full blown HDR... go 4K HDR10+ or QLED or OLED.Now for picture I just want a nice clear picture, I don’t really bother with the bloated options like smoothing, motion view and that other stuff. I just set the black level and sharpness up to a point, pull the colour up and just go and it looks really nice.-You can see panel light if you look at it on certain angles, where mine is head on you won’t see it at all, but if you was looking up or on the side you’d see it for sure... is it a deal breaker? Not at all, some people would make a fuss about it, but when you are sitting down you won’t see it.-Sound is okay, but when it gets loud you can hear sound degrading... cheap speakers. Get a cheap soundbar or second hand one lots kicking around-Basic HDR with this TV I find it a nice gimmick, for a kid with PS4 or PS5 it’s great for that, but with a PS5... get a 4KHDR TV do yourself a favour, you won’t regret it and 4KHDR TVs are near those price point.-Apps work (I don’t touch Iplayer), Netflix and Amazon worked perfectly, Youtube app has HDR functionality perfect for streaming.-Wee fee works great had no problem with droppage and it’s in the corner of the upper room (bad TV haha)-Standard TV box that Samsung do, works on the 5300, 7100, 7300 and 7500... one box to control them all.-It’s FullHD 1920x1080p... yes it’s FULLHD 1920X1080P T5300!!! and HDR but no HDR for series X blame Microsoft not the TV people.-Mount is 100x100 as my old LG was 200x200 so I just reused the old ASDA bracket I got for a fiver on sale donkeys ago... it’s a really good sturdy bracket.-Ports are on the right of the TV and so is the power two pin connector like a PlayStation plug. It’s a good TV and I’m glad I’ve got one as my local Argos wouldn’t deliver and at the time I just couldn’t pick one up unless I drove 50+ miles. Price hefty at £260 and you can buy cheaper brands. But that’s your choice.

Great value for money for a Smart Tizen TV
I was very impressed with the extra security procedures Amazon added for the delivery. An OTP had to be given to delivery man upon receiving the delivery. Delivery was fast with lots of notifications.TV performance seems good. But the most annoying issue I have with this model is that I could not easily mount it to my existing wall bracket that my old Samsung TV was on. I was surprised that it’s a lot thicker than my non-smart LED Samsung (which just went dead black without any warning). Due to its thickness, you will need 4 x Vesa screws for this TV model to mount it on the wall bracket. Wish we were advised of this before we bought the TV. It should be given free with the TV since Samsung supplied the feet & screws for table installation. I had to order screws online from eBay so now can’t mount until these screws arrive.Overall, picture clarity is sharp and sound is good. It’s only for a bedroom so sound was suitable for it. I’ve never had a smart tv before and found setup super easy. Not sure if I will regret getting a Tizen smart TV yet instead of an android smart one. The remote control is acceptable though I do understand why some reviews said it was too small and buttons were crammed. It didn’t bother me and like everything else, it just needs familiar with it. So for the price, I can’t really fault the TV except for its thickness. I definitely paid a lot more years ago for the non smart LED Samsung TV.

Awesome for 1080p
I have had numerous TVs over the years and have a massive 4K Tv in the living room made by (LG).I ordered this one for the kitchen as the old one failed and wasn’t repairable. No need for 4K in the kitchen as it’s only relatively small and Tv not used often.Impressed is an understatement, the picture seems better than my 4K tv and it’s only 1080p.The Tizen operating system is loads better too, simple phone based set up (or via remote if preferred)It has all the platforms we use including iPlayer 3,4and 5 hubs, prime, Disney, Apple, Netflix and YouTube and it does Apple play too.Very reasonable price and next day timed delivery by DPD.Would recommend to anyone considering this size Tv.👍👍👍👍👍

Great sound, Great Picture
Very happy with the is TV. Had read reviews about the sound quality not being very good so in haste ai bought a sound bar. But have yet to use it as to my ear the sound is perfect. Used in a Spare bedroom for entertainment purposes and doing my online exercise class was as well as watching catch up tv. Haven’t explored the full features yet but serves its purpose for me so far. I was expecting to have to use 5G WiFi with it ( which I have) but it works perfectly on 2G. The only downside ( and its only a small one as can use airplay from iPad) is that it doesn’t have BBC iPlayer inserted. So glad I finally went for this one and it will keep us happy for a few years.

Clear and clever
So far it has been excellent. Easy to set up, lots of functions, clear interface and very good picture. Some whites seem a little blue but that may just be in the setup.

Only Lasted 2 Years
The Tv does have a good picture. we had it for around 2 years and then it wouldn't turn on.It seems a common fault that is not under warranty so now useless.
