Great assortment of picks
Bought this on a whim to try out some different picks. It's a great assortment of different Dunlop picks, with a good range of weights - great to try out before buying a pack of a single type.

Good buy if you are getting started with Pick Playing on the Bass
I have been playing the Bass for a couple of years now and have started to use a pick for a few songs - a Dunlop ULTEX, .88 it was given to me when I bought the bass and doesn't seem to have worn at all and seems fine but I was curious to see what other picks were like.I think it really is down to personal preference which you will like as to be honest I found very little difference in tone with any of them.Out of the pack I liked the thicker ULTEX perhaps because thats what I have got used to but also liked the Flex one, this seemed to make playing faster easier than the ULTEX but doesn't seem to be as durable. I plan to get some thicker Flex ones though as it along with the ULTEX are my short list. The purple one was pretty good too and has a grippy feel to it - almost like it has talk on it!The black one started to disintegrate almost immediacy on playing and felt very bendy even compared to thiner picks! The grey one has a grips on it which I found distracting. There was also a thin Tortex yellow one in the pack which just seems too bendy for bass playing.Anyhow I'd recommend this pack its certainly been useful for me.

Good variety of picks to find your favourite
I've had lots of plain plastic guitar picks of various thicknesses, but I always find them a bit slippery to hold (perhaps because I mostly fingerpick so I don't use a plectrum regularly). I was wondering about getting some fancier picks to see if they would improve the grip, but didn't want a pack of one style only to find I didn't like them. With this pack I could test a variety of thicknesses, shapes, materials and grip types to find the ones I liked. For me it was very much the ones with a textured grip area and, to my surprise, of these I preferred the thicker ones (previously I'd thought I preferred medium thickness). So this pack was great for allowing me to figure out my preference, and now I can buy more of the types that I liked. These would also make a great small gift any guitarist.
