There are some differences! Here's a comparison between the diamond-shaped "Partsam 4X 2.5" Clearance Clear/White LED Lamp 2 Diode Trailer Truck Side Marker Light" Partsam 4X 2.5" Clearance Clear/White LED Lamp 2 Diode Trailer Truck Side Marker Light and the "Partsam 4X Oval White Clear Lens 2 Diode LED Trailer Truck Clearance Side Marker Light" Partsam 4X Oval White Clear Lens 2 Diode LED Trailer Truck Clearance Side Marker Light.Only the "Oval" model has slots in the base for the wires to exit if you are doing a surface mount; it was a real pain to mount the diamond-shaped model. But the diamond-shaped model has the surface-mount-style LEDs internally; they provide a wider, slightly cooler white light output that I prefer compared to the traditional focused-dome LEDs in the "Oval" model. At a distance head-on they seem the same brightness, but as you go off to one side the light from the "Oval" model tapers off to a degree.In general I have been quite satisifed; I'm using them as aftermarket DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) in two vehicles, with two mounted per side in the grille, and they perform as I had hoped.

Ordered the three pack. When one burned out it caught on fire and melted into my truck grill. Do not recommend. Trying to find a way to contact the manufacturer. 0 stars!

I installed it in tyrewells of car and it looks special. Not yet tested in monsoon to test the IP65 rated capacity if it can take the water sprays. ( will update after monsoon test ).Monsoon update: the lights have survived extreme water 💧 splashes of monsoon. Excellent performance under water splashes.
