Prophets: 101

I can’t wait to get into it. We are doing a book challenge at my church to see who can read the most books by the end of the year. Can’t wait to dive into this book later in the year.

As a person that has been walking in the prophetic for 20 years now and who has been in the office of prophet for a number of years, I never tire of reading books on the prophetic. As an author of a basic book on the office of prophet and the three prophetic gifts involved in the prophetic, I was very interested in this book after I read the description and a few of the reviews.Purchase and read this book to know* The three Hebrew words for prophet and what each entails* What a presumptuous prophet is and what a false prophet is and how they differ* The roles of a prophet - what they are here to do* The scope of the prophetic office* The way prophets can shape society with their influence* The future of the world and the role prophets will play* The difference between Gods judgement and Gods wrathThis book was enjoyable for me. It spent a lot more time talking about the function of a prophet than my book, however many of the practicalities of the prophetic office are covered in my book.I read this book in about 2 hours, in one sitting and before I had finished I had downloaded another book of Jonathan's about the supernatural. I also can see myself signing up to do his school of the prophets for $50 as I am sure I will learn a lot.There are many years between the call of the prophet in your life and the actual time when you occupy the office. There is much to be learnt and a refining that needs to happen. This book, by Prophet Jonathan Ferguson, is one of the most excellent books that I've ever read as it relates to sharpening the prophetic gifts, understanding the Office of a Prophet, understanding the Mantle that a Prophet carries, and the distinct difference between someone having the GIFT of Prophecy and someone who actually walks in the Office of a Prophet. This Man of God said something important in his book about how important it is to DISCERN and try the spirit by the Spirit and see if it is of God.We can't afford to Judge inaccurately out of our flesh, that just because a budding prophet who is still being developed in his/her stages, doesn't mean that they are false. And just because a person prophesies with an astonishing accuracy and detail, doesn't mean they are true. A true prophet does so much MORE than just "PROPHESY". A prophet's first ministry is PRAYER. According to Ezekiel 13, the prophet's job is to go into the Gaps of prayer and intercession. We are a success at prophesying publically to people, but are failures when it comes to our private prayer lives.This Prophetic office is a GOVERNMENTAL office. Prophet Jonathan Ferguson outlines the Power, Authority, Role, and Assignment that a prophet has.I recommend this book to those who are called to the Office of a Prophet, Prophetic people, The 5-fold ministry(so that there's an understanding of WHO and WHAT they are), and ANYONE who wants to learn more about this, because we don't know it all.Thank you Prophet Jonathan Ferguson for this amazing and developing book. I downloaded this kindle book about a week ago but didn't want to start it because I hadn't finished "Understanding the Language of God" - Mr. Ferguson's last book. I just started reading Prophets 101 yesterday while en route to Georgia and I almost didn't even realize the plane had arrived at Hartfield-Jackson...HA! It's that good, people! If I wasn't taking my time to really absorb the invaluable information in the book I probably would have finished the book in about two or three hours. It is well written, full of insight, wisdom and Bible-based TRUTH!I seriously and sincerely recommend this book to all young and seasoned prophets, leaders in the Body of Christ (especially those who have prophets in their congregations whom they don't quite understand) and for saints/believers in Christ in general to get a better understanding of a prophet's function in the Body of Christ and a better grasp of what the prophetic is in general.Prophet J.C. Ferguson, I salute you on another well written book for the people of God everywhere. God bless you! GET THE BOOK Y'ALL!P.S. I suggest that you get all of J.C. Ferguson's books, as the topics all tie into each other and give you a very wide, yet detailed scope of how God interacts with humanity on a surprisingly regular and quite intimate way.

My first time ever hearing Jonathan Ferguson speak was a Prophet Carn's conference in Charlotte, NC that I attended. He was powerful!!! I prayed and ask God to give me wisdom about my gift in the prophetic. A friend who attended the conference called and told me about this book. It was clearly an answer to my prayers!! The book is very easy to understand, thankfully! Ferguson is a GREAT teacher. I am AMAZED at how much I learned from this one book - ONLY God could do me this way! I am at the end of this book. I have already purchased two other books of Ferguson's and I am looking forward to digging in. The wisdom that I have gained from the purchase of this book was surely worth it!! If you are looking to learn more about the prophetic this book is a MUST read!!! I am also planning to take his online class. Thank you Jonathan Ferguson for your labor for the kingdom of God! Lord bless you, your wife and children one hundred fold for your labor of sowing into the lives of many in Jesus Name! Amen!!

I really thank God for this book, the way I even came to know this book is prophetic, I thank God for prophet Ferguson's life, this book has really been a blessing to me. Nice book and very easy to understand!

An exciting book about the prophetic, informative and totally relevant to the spiritual climate that we are living in.
