My husband and I are working on music for our new duo, Strange Bedfellows, and love the way this works as a music stand without hogging the space a real music stand takes up. It sits on the coffee table, holding our notebook of songs, tilted for good visibility. This is much better than staring down at flat lyrics while trying to sing and play guitars.I've also found it useful when I'm trying to refer to hard copy material as I type on my computer.The piece is affordable, totally functional, sturdy, and nice looking enough that I can leave it out between uses. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I love this book stand. It is exactly what I needed for my large, heavy, hardcover Bible. The way the kickstand is designed prevents it from collapsing under the weight of a heavy book. The angle for viewing is easily adjustable and it collapses flat. Highly recommended! Holds books of any size.

This is as durable as I'd hoped and great quality. It is exactly as pictured.It works great with cookbooks and heavy hardback books. You can adjust the page holding mechanism easily because it has rubber coverings that touch the pages.It holds the pages in place snugly.The stand also easily shifts angles.It's great quality and I expect it to work for years since the design is simple.P.S. I would not recommend this stand for softcover books. I think it would tear or pull too heavily on the cover.

The bookstand is very attractive and useful, I am very glad I selected it. I especially like the ability to adjust for various uses, from relaxed reading to holding a cookbook or supporting my Fire tablet to attend an on-line meeting. It is a substantial item, not flimsy or lightweight, and will be useful for a long while. Good purchase.

I bought the XL Large Size Bamboo Book Stand because I am researching from different books and like taking notes on my computer while reading. It holds regular reading books well - holding the book and the pages themselves. Textbooks would very much have a limit - I have an 800-page textbook that it can hold, but it seemed iffy on holding back 440 pages on one side, probably because of the wood holding the bottom being only an inch or so (a few centimeters) which causes the page clips to not be able to hold as much of the book. A trade-off for being able to hold regular-sized books, I guess. I like that there is rubber on the page clips so I don't have to worry about ruining the pages. I'm careful about my books and am glad I won't be ruining the spine (by not opening up the book all the way / laying it flat) or the pages with this. The design's pretty neat, though I will say that the edges are sharp, both in the overall stand and the design. Some sanding would do it some good. It doesn't fold super small (just to the size of the main board), but it does store flat. I think I'll be using it a lot, just not for my bigger textbooks.

The clips are quite tight, so I get a bit worried about putting a permanent dent or wrinkle in book pages.And too tight to put in a really thick book if the number of pages on one side are far greater than the other side.But it's a quite a small stand, not really made for huge books, and it's very light, pretty, the clips have a plastic cover at end to minimize denting of pages, the strong tension in them might help them last longer, and it works quite well for a surprising range of sizes. I might buy the bigger version for really big books, or check out another product. To be effective, the bigger version should have a wider 'base' that the book sits on, so that the clips can encompass a greater thickness of book material.

Received package on time and the packaging of the item was adequate. The item was received undamaged. The workmanship and material is more than I would have expected for the price. The wood is smooth to the finish with no rough edges. Cut outs in the wood are uniformed and exactly the same. The metal page holders have plastic coating on the sharp edges to protect the pages and your fingers. The support for the stand is sturdy and has multiple adjusting positions. Very good quality for the price.

Really looks nice and is very well built and sturdy. It suits its purpose beautifully. I broke my wrist over a year ago and am now not able to hold a book with it for very long. This piece looks so great that I just leave it out on the table and sit down to read my bible whenever I feel like it!

I am learning how to play my husband's guitar and needed a stand my music books.Made of beautiful sturdy bamboo that is carved into a lovely design. The stand sits nicely on a side table, saving space. There are 2 sturdy metal clips in the front on the bottom edge that swing upward to hold your sheet or music book in place securely. The back of the stand has an adjustable wooden piece that smoothly folds down to secure a metal holder to whatever position you desire. I really appreciate the quality, design, sturdiness, compactness, and price of this design. Highly recommend!

I have the large one and it fits my large Bible well, the page holders work well and have rubber to protect the pages. When I started looking for something to hold books while I study I didn't think I'd find a perfect fit for me, I was wrong. This for the money is awesome and adds character to a room as well. Now to find a nice reading light to complete it😉
