Nice, but NOT warm white
First the positives: The Kobi R30 LED flood is very well packaged in a sturdy corrugated box with foam inserts. It appears to be well made, although you can't really tell much from the outside. The light seems to be as bright (or slightly brighter) than an incandescent 65 Watt R30 reflector flood. The light distribution is good, covering about the same angle as the traditional incandescent version, and it is evenly distributed with no hot spots.I have not tried it with a dimmer, so I cannot comment on how it responds. The bulb does not hum or buzz. Now for the less-than-positive: Although sold as a 2700 Kelvin lamp, the color temperature appears to me to be substantially higher, perhaps 3500 or so. Definitely NOT a warm white; more of a neutral white. (Other buyers have praised the "warm yellow light" so I'm wondering of Kobi has changed the type of LED used inside these bulbs over time.) Color rendering is adequate, but there is very little output at the red end of the spectrum. So flesh tones appear grayish, and red objects appear to be a weak red-violet. This is purely a subjective opinion, but I would guess that the CRI (Color Rendering Index) would be in the low 80's. On the whole, it's a nice enough bulb if you are not particular about the color of light, but it is not exactly a replacement for the old incandescent lamps. I have seen slightly better color rendering from some CREE LED lamps, and would recommend those if you are fussy.

nice, bright and pleasant light
This Kobi Electric LED lightbulb produces a nice, warm light that really illuminates the room without making it feel too bright. We have recessed lights in our kitchen and I've never been happy with the distribution of light, regardless of the bulbs we've bought. My husband keeps buying what I call "sunrise bulbs" because they gradually get brighter, as if the sun is coming up. I can't adequately express without swearing how much I detest those bulbs, so I grabbed one of these to test it out. It's brighter than the 15-watt (60-watt equivalent) bulb I replaced with this. Or at least, it feels like it. I immediately came on here to order two more! No more dark spots in my kitchen. I highly recommend them!Note: I do not have a dimmer switch in my kitchen so I can't attest to that feature.

Nice Affordable LED Floods!
I purchased a case of these LED lights several months back. Bright and warm. No issues so far. Purchased another case for the dying incandescent bulbs I've been replacing recently. These are dimmer compatible, which is a desirable feature. They don't dim as smoothly or as low as an incandescent, but it wasn't a huge issue for me. You could spend a ton of money on a big name brand LED bulb at a brick and mortar but that would be dumb. I'm very satisfied. Reliable and affordable LED! Already starting to see some electricity savings as well.

Poor longevity, early failure within a year
Purchased from Amazon Aug 19. Did not install right away. 2 of 3 failed a couple of months ago, after much less than 1 year of use. All were installed on the same circuit which has 10 total recessed bulbs.LEDs were supposed to solve the early failure rate of CFLs in recessed applications while improving dimmability. So far I'm not impressed.Manufacturer warranty is 5 years, but that's a hassle. Recommend seek alternatives.

Watch out Poor Quality
I have purchased several of these bulbs. They are not pricy the quality is very bad. Most of the problems occurred after the 30 day return period. I purchased and received one today and 15 minutes after turning on the light it flickers as if it were a strobe light! It is very hard to find one that will match the color since it is 17 watts and soft white, but after spending couple hundred dollars, it is time to cut my loss and purchase another from a different manufacture don't do as I did and waste your money

Best bulbs ever!
Finally - well made lights! I have track lighting in my kitchen that, admittedly, is old. Probably 25 years old. But I love it! The new bulbs are so cheaply made that they wouldn't make contact when I screwed them in! But these bulbs - you could just look at them and see the difference! Well made, they didn't feel like they would crush if you gripped them. Finally!

The color is much cooler than a regular bulb... it's not really so warm at all. I can get mind to dim pretty well, but also not as low as the incandescent ones that I replaced. So 3 stars because they all worked and they should be efficient, but the color and dim-ability leaves something to be desired.

OK bulb but does not dim very low
The bulb itself is fine--the light is a bit strange but the color rating is pretty good. The problem is the dimmability--if that is a word. It dims but at the very lowest setting is way too bright compared to a halogen. This might be OK for an office but does not work well in a home theater or bedroom setting where you want really low light.
