AquaLiv Water System A305 - Creates Purified Alkaline Mountain Spring Water

After reading many reviews, we chose this water ionizer. Reviews said that some people had flu like symptoms after drinking this water while others had no problems. That is exactly the reactions my husband and I had. I developed flu-like symptoms, while my husband had no reaction to the water. I cut back my consumption from 100% ionized water to 25% and I have had no adverse reaction. We have decided to keep our ionizer, and I hope to slowly increase my ionized water consumption.

I am very happy with the system, although I've only had it a few days. It arrived much faster than I expected and the installation was pretty easy overall. We did run into a problem with our old shut-off valves, which had to be replaced before we could install the system, but that problem had nothing to do with the AquaLiv system itself. I'm not sure what the PH level is with the new system (versus tap water) because I tried testing the water with standard PH test strips, but they only give you a color and not a digital reading. Overall, I think it's a great system. It's definitely better than the expensive Arrowhead water we were getting before. I would recommend it to new customers.

When I first read the installation instructions, it was daunting. So we put it off for a week or two. We finally installed it last night and it took us about half an hour - it was actually surprisingly straightforward and easy. It mentioned that the water might taste bitter after 20 min of initial flushing and for the first week but it already tastes GREAT to us! It has a soft, clean taste to it. I love the fact that the filters last one year and the entire replacement filter kit cost only $99.

I was so excited about this water filter cause I'd heard some good things about it online. I literally bought every add-on the company offered, including the Fluoride filter. But after a few weeks, my body was telling me something was wrong. I tested the water with a kit and discovered dangerously high levels of Lead, probably from the old pipes in this house. I contacted the company and they explained that their system only removes 90% of the Lead. What??? I don't want ANY lead (or mercury, or aluminum or Arsenic) in my water. My granddaughter drinks this water. Why would it be acceptable for her health to consume lead in her water? That's like someone telling me, "I'll only hit you guys in the head with this lead pipe 10% of the time." The company rep said only an RO system can remove all that. Which is funny, cause I removed my RO system and replaced it with an Aqualiv system! I tried to convince myself to like this water. I really wanted to like it. But I just can't accept partially toxic water going into my body. So now I'm out hundreds of dollars, but at least I discovered this problem and can alert others to the dangers.

So far I'm loving this water filtration system. Needed something that would reduce fluoride and not cost an arm and a leg and this is wonderful.
