YANA Women’s 2-in-1 Running Tights with Front and Back, Water-Resistant Pockets.

I ran a half marathon in these pants this weekend and I am going to order another pair ASAP. Let's just jump to the reason I bought them in the first place. BELLY CONTROL!!! I have lost a lot of weight over the past five years and although I am about 40 away from my goal, I have a large amount of flabby skin and jiggly fat on my abdomen. I have bought SO MANY sizes and brands of pants looking for a fit that combines compression with a wide waist band. I measured my hips and waist and inseam just as the description suggested and bought a size large. I am 5'9 and weigh 190 pounds. I wear a size 12-14 jeans and a medium-large top. I have a lot of "movement" about my abdominal area when I run and I felt very comfortable and snugged up in these pants. The pockets on the front and back were NOT the reason I purchased these pants but I found they were a great addition to my race. I wear a "flip belt" for races and I wore it for this last race as well but I found that I preferred my phone in the large front pocket of these pants and my inhaler in the large pocket on the back. I still used my flip belt for the gels and energy tabs and such. Note that the pockets on these pants are NOT protective from wetness. My phone camera lens was fogged up and the screen was wet when I pulled it out during the race. But that is not even close to being a deterrent from purchasing again. The gum I placed in the back zipper was also wet to the point of being unable to remove the paper. Again, NO BIGGIE, but know that whatever you place inside the pockets is likely to get moistened generously. The product description does not claim that the pockets are waterproof anyway. (Side note... I intend to purchase a size medium this next buy. SIMPLY because I think they will fit and be a little MORE sung on the belly without being too tight anywhere else.) Also, I was NOT paid for my review or offered any compensation. I don't like reading reviews where nearly ALL of the 5 stars are from people who received them for free.

Just got these and have used them a couple times. They are in indeed quite thick and durable feeling...super great quality. However...what's the deal with the SUPER high waistband?!? I'm 5'5" with not the longest but not the shortest torso either, and these come up about 2.5-3 inches above my belly button. What gives? That's not what the picture shows, unless the model has a lower abdomen that is 2.5-3 inches longer than mine...super long in other words!I love the satiny lined compartment on the front and the back. I got the size medium and was worried about them being too big since I usually always wear smalls in yoga and running pants, liking them to be very snug. These are snug just like I like them, and again I'm 5'5", 123 pounds, waist around 28, hips 34. They compress just enough without feeling confining, smalls would have definitely been too small.So, if you don't mind a SUPER high waist band, then go ahead and order. If on the other hand you're like me and you like things below your waist line, then you will not like these. Even if you like things just at the waist, these are way too long waisted. Think just a couple inches below the boobs and that will be just about how they are.One last thing...if you're planning on using these for winter running as I was, just make sure you notice these are NOT long. They are 3/4 length, coming about mid-calf. I had done a search for "winter running tights" and these are what came up, so I somehow skipped over the fact that they're not full-length. I'll have to wait to use these until the temps warm up into the mid 40s to be able to use these, otherwise with the short length, my lower legs will get COLD. Just wanted to point that out in case others like me were looking for COLD WEATHER running tights. These ARE very thick, so if it wasn't for the short length, they'd be great in colder temps.

Overall these pants were a great purchase however; I feel the need to rebut several of the reviewers that are stating that the interior pockets are water proof. They are not. Thankfully the seller included a note in the package that stated the pockets are "water resistant". Even that statement is a stretch in my opinion. I took these pants for a 12 mile run this past weekend and because I wear a medical device that cannot be exposed to moisture... I decided to test the pants before using it to hold my device. In the front pocket I carried my GU, several dollar bills and a few glucose tablets; the back pocket was used for Kleenex and my car keys. All items fit comfortably with room to spare! Unfortunately when I stopped at a gas station 6 miles into the run to buy water the money was completely soaked. So I checked the Kleenex stashed in the back pocket and it too was completely soaked. Although I do not recommend using these pockets for items that can’t be exposed to moisture I DO REALLY LIKE THE PANTS! They are made of good quality material, similar to a pair of extremely expensive compression pants that I own. They are not see through like some of the Nike and Under Armor pants on the market (BIG PLUS). The pockets are useful for carrying keys, GU and nutrition items and most importantly they are REASONABLY PRICED!
