PhilipsSeries 3000 Wet or Dry Men's Electric Shaver with a 5D Pivot & Flex Heads, Shiny Blue

The first thing that struck me about this shaver is how quiet it is, none of that incessant high-pitched whining. It gives a gentle, clean shave. The sides have grip dots which gives a secure hold on this somewhat chunky yet comfortable shaver. From a charging point of view, one hour of charging gives an hour of shaving, the 5 minute booster charge gives you enough charge for a single shave when you don’t have time for a full charge. The charging cable is not USB which is a shame, it comes with a 2 pin plug with a plug specific to this shaver. Ideally the cable could be a little longer the only down side. The shaver is very easy to clean and the pop up trimmer works well. Unlike other shavers I’ve had, the protective plastic cover clips on really nicely, and doesn’t fall off easily. An all round great shaver!

Great shaver

I usually wet shave but always had an electric back up razor. This is far better than cheaper electric razors I've had even going back to my first "Philishave" my parents bought for me when I went into the RAF in 1975. I still have it, it still works but could do with some new heads? This model 3000 gives a closer shave, wet or dry than any other electric razor I've had and for that matter even some disposable wet razors! Battery last well and the clipper attachment is wider than many and efficient.The one small critisism I have I doesn't quite get into every corner so sideburns, moustaches etc......may need extra trimming?

This Shaver is well made. Feels nice in the hand.I works very well. A nice clean Shave.I have sensitive skin. It's soft on my Skin. Loverly to use..Gives a Great shave all over. Neck as well.This shaver is worth every penny

My Phillips razor is excellent in every aspect. It has a larger shaving area than my last Phillips razor and has self sharpening blades. It is excellent value and I would recommend this razor above many others, even those that are more expensive.

I have waited a while before writing this review. I replaced an earlier and similar wet/dry Philips shaver which gave good service. I was a bit concerned with quite a few negative reviews, nevertheless I purchased this model at a very reasonable price and have not been disappointed. In my opinion it is not as heavy as its predecessor and a leap forward in performance. It is very quiet and appears to run slowly but it does not hesitate and is a powerful performer on my beard - average/medium growth. The shaver tackles 3-5 day growth no problem but I would say it performs better wet than dry on this task. 1-2 day growth no problem at all, wet or dry (I use a pre-electric balm). I would recommend this model.Edited review: Six months after purchase I am still happy with the performance of the shaver. However, the flex-cord of the charging adaptor has severely perished and detached from the twin power cables over its entire length. Clearly the incorrect rubberised covering material has been used in manufacture. I am in the process of contacting Amazon/Philips.

Bought this as old one not holding charge for so long. This is much better as has a USB CHARGING CABLE and is more convenient it is slightly quieter than the previous one all in all very pleased. Didn’t come with a cleaning brush but still have the previous one.Would definitely recommend.

This is a great shaver works well in wet or dry charge time last for ages and gived a good clean shave. Of course you have to pass over it a few timesHowever it really does a good shave doesnt cause any irritation especially with sensitive skinComfortablr and ergonomic in the hand whilst using
