We have many more expensive magnets from reputable companies and we find ourselves using these every time, they’re strong, lightweight and easy to use for beginners and everyone else!

I like to he design with having the ability to change the attachment points which is why I bought this. Everything appears to be made of stainless steel, nothing has rusted. The quality overall seems well made. I’m not sure on the magnetic strength ratting system and how those numbers correlate to weight capacity but this would be a decent magnet for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot but would like to get into magnet fishing or just needs to retrieve something.Surface contact area has a lot to do with the magnet’s weight capacity it will be able to handleIf you are able to land this fairly cleanly on something magnetic I think it would be capable of retrieving something that’s close to a 50 or 60lbs realistically from the water. Great starter magnet.

Like many others, my son was hooked on the idea of magnet fishing after seeing the trend on YouTube.While it was fun to use, the magnet seemed only capable of pulling very small metal from the water. The rope is pretty short, not long enough to throw off any bridges in my area.The magnet is thick and heavy with a decent design and build quality, though you need to keep an eye on the screws/eyelets. If you don't use a tool or thread locker to make sure they are tight, the magnet may go flying away when thrown.Fun magnet for a young kid. If you're looking for a strong magnet to hold heavy things, is suggest going with a bit bigger size.

Great product

My teenager was very excited to try this but was a bad experience all around. First the shipping was delayed after I paid for 24 hrs shipping so I had to pay an extra shipping fee to a third party since my son had already left for the weekend and it still hadn't arrived, so I had to ship it to him outside of Amazon. Then when he finally got to try it today he only got to throw it out three times before it fell off the bolt and got lost in the pond. Unfortunately for us, it was an all around waste of money. 👎
