This is a nice bible for a child without being childish. I purchased as a gift for my 7 year old grandson for Christmas. It is NASB version, which is what i read so I was hapoy with the presentation . It has some colored pictures and colored banner like inserts which give back ground, answer questions, etc. I liked that, as the bible can be confusing for a child. My grandson is able to read at a higher grade level and will be able to read this on his own. It would also be a nice book to read together as a family. The paper pages are a little thin, as in an adult bibke, but not like tissue paper. The hard cover is colorful and fun to look at.

This Bible surprised me. It lays flat and is line matched. Plus is in my favorite translation (Nasb 95). Highly recommended this for a first Bible for kids.
