Worst customer service
I Never write bad reviews! I purchased this on November 3, 2023. I called the customer service number due to battery not holding a charge through one use, after being charged all night. My 90-tear-old Dad was stuck in a chair, in public, as device would not operate. I was told he (John?) had never heard of this issue and corporate had not either. I was told a replacement battery would be sent. Then I was asked my address, then I was told they were out till shipment arrived before Thanksgiving. Most of this communication was via text. I have left voicemails asking to speak with an owner or someone with authority. My guess is John is the owner. I told them I would not write a bad review or mention anything negative if we could just resolve the issue. Now, my texts and voicemails are being ignored. The fact that others have reported the same issues concerns me as this was a lot of money. I will contact the BBB next. Any suggestions? Thank you.

So far so good!
Only had it for a few days now but so far it works perfectly and helps lift my father up from the sitting position without me having to hurt my back trying to lift him. I simply hold his hands for balance and gently pull him towards me once its fully inflated. My father weighs under 200 lbs. so I don't anticipate this thing to fail on me.The device is simple to operate with 4 levels of inflation/deflation. Each level lifts the person higher from their sitting position. The operation is a little slow but I think that is for the best. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no side support, so the person may tilt and fall sideways if they are unable to keep their balance. It is recommended to have someone nearby to assist with balance.

Worth the price, if you can afford it
This device was so expensive, but it is worth it! My heavy, elderly father could no longer get out of his recliner chair, even with the power lift raising him. We put this on top of it, and he is now able to get up and down without help. One thing we learned quickly: he is not afraid if we inflate the device first, and then use the power lift (rather than the other way around). The battery is easy to remove and recharge, too.

Needs Work
Update: 12/10/24: I've owned this item for about a year and a half. For me, it has been a lifesaver. I can no longer stand up on my own. Because I am tall, even getting out of a lift chair is difficult. Since owning it, I've moved it to my wheelchair. I wish I had the wheelchair model, but I can't spend another $600 to buy it. It turns out that my battery was not dead as I reported earlier. The unit had an error, for no reason. Once reset it worked fine since. I did buy a second battery to be safe. I got it from ebay for a lot less money, and it works fine. I do not find that the batteries don't last. I on use it a couple days a week, and only charge the battery once every couple of months.I have had a new problem and it really scares me. I went out shopping last week, and when I went to get up, the SitNStand would only pump up one level. It would try to pump up level two, but it wasn't pumping up anything, and then go into an error mode. It took all my strength to pull myself up and slide into the car. It turns out that one of the hoses came off the pump. I put it back on, but it is only a friction fit. I'm really afraid everytime I use it. If it fails again, I'm not sure what I would do. I have a muscle disease and I am continuing to get weaker and weaker. I don't think I could pull myself into my car again by myself.Update: I've had my SitnStand for some time now, and I have a few comments. As I had said in my original review, there is no on and off switch. This is a much bigger problem than I originally thought. Every time your done using it you have to remove the battery instead of just turning it off.A much bigger problem is there it no battery level indicator. A second battery costs about $120. Yesterday I was at a restaurant when my battery died. They found a place where we could charge it for a little while, but what a pain. We should have known the battery was getting low.As I said before the price is way too high, but they seem to have the market to themselves. I thought about buying 4 lawn mower tire tubes and tying them together, and us one of those tire pumps that look like an electric drill to pump them up. It would be close to how this works.Unfortunately I need this and can't find anything else. Someone needs to develop a unit to compete with this thing. At $300 retail, it would still be expensive, but should still be very profitable.I’ve only had the Sit n Stand for a few days, but so far it is a lifesaver. However, there are a few things I would like to see changed (fixed).I have a muscle disease with no cure. In the past couple of years I’ve gone from being able to get out of almost any chair, to not being able to stand up unless the seat is at least 24” high. It has made visiting people, going out to eat, going to the theater, etc… a near impossibility. That was until I got the Sit n Stand. As long at the seat is at least 16” from the floor, by using the Sit n Stand I can easily stand up.There are a couple of things that prevent the Sit n Stand from getting 5 stars. First there is no on/off switch. The only way to turn off the blinking light on the remote and preventing the Sit n Stand from accidently activating is to remove the battery every time after use. Why in the world would you not include an on/off switch? Second is the size. Why do you need such a large back? For most chairs this is a huge overkill, and leaves the battery/pump unit hanging off the back of the chair too much. If nothing else it should either a Velcro or Elastic strap to hold it in place. Third is the battery. Why is it every medical device has to have its own special battery that they completely rip off the consumer to replace? Shame on you. Lastly is the price. I hesitated for months before buying this because of the price. I used to work in product design for 40 years, and I know the cost of engineering and tooling custom products. However, this is basically a little battery operated compressor and 4 air blathers built into a seat cushion. I know the cost is high, because the market is small. The bottom line is that this is a unique product serving a ever increase market need. As long as it lasts, I will be promoting it to my friends and family.

Very helpful in standing or transferring.
This was expensive and I nearly didn’t purchase. So glad I did. I have ALS and have lost strength in arms and legs making transfer from bed, chair, wheel chair difficult. This helps so much! There are 3 height positions. I typically inflate my to the highest to assist in standing and use the second highest to transfer into chairs, bed or toilet. This has really help my wife and I. The only thing to keep in mind is to make sure u are square on the cushion before inflating or it has a tendency to push u forward. I recommend this without reservation.

Great product Great Service
This device is great. I had a problem with it after 4 months. Called the easy to find phone number on the company’s web site, and had a new unit in a week. The person I delt with Rebbeca was a joy.If you need help standing up buy one. Now if they would build one that was a portable toilet lift.Mac McNally
