He pulled the dark block of wood from the old barn where it was stored for 15 years. A little spit rubbed into the side of the wood revealed a treasure, a block of Black Walnut that was destined for use as gun stock. The stack of wood has a better use, that's for sure. These vase holders are as unique as the wood itself. The color and grain of the walnut only reveals itself when it exits the sander and oil is applied.
