FLAVORMen's Real Leather Bomber Jacket with Removable Fur Collar Aviator

At this price point it is a quality jacket. I bought the brown which is darker than it looks on-line but only by a shade. The small fits me well at 130 pounds with room for layering. So I will say that it runs true to size. There is a mild leather odor to it. But That's to be expected and it will definitely fade with time. I know this because of all the leather I've worn in the past. This is a mid weight jacket not as heavy as a cowhide one would be, but it is still substantial. I don't know if it would keep you warm if it's in the twenties but in the low forties, and with a light sweater, I am comfortable. The faux fur collar is a plus as it can be stood up. There are two zipper pockets on the front, which actually works. I don't like pockets that are just for looks. Two hand warmer pockets and another zip pocket on the inside of the jacket. It has a nice quilted lining. For me it's perfect. I wanted a leather jacket like the one I had twenty years ago but did not want to invest a whole lot of money. Again, for the price point, it's a very good quality nice looking jacket.

I had to order this jacket twice because I didn't trust the sizing. I wanted to make sure I could wear a sweater or heavy flannel shirt under it so I ordered a 2X and it was waaay too big. Returned it and ordered an XL and it fits great! It was actually one of the one star reviews that convinced me to go with this jacket. The reviewer complained that it was made of pigskin. Many folks don't realize that pigskin is much tougher and supple than cowhide. Another complained about the smell. Mine smells like well tanned leather. That's what it's supposed to smell like. So I say thank you to all you negative reviewers. Beside being pigskin, all the other features are well done too. The zippers are heavy duty and smooth operating. The cuffs and bottom hem have just the right amount of stretch to them to be comfortable and keep the wind out. I'm more than pleased with this purchase and if you order this, you will be too. The sizing is spot on so order what you would normally wear. Highly recommended. I'd give it an extra star if I could.

I normally wear an XL, I ordered an XXL and it fits perfectly. The leather is of good quality and the sewing construction is good. However, the jacket I received had a strong smell to it and the leather looked dry and untreated. I rinsed it in hot water with mild soap until all the dirt and smell was gone. I repeated rinsing it until the water was clear and no smell was detected. I hung it to dry and reconditioned the leather with neatsfoot oil. The color was a bit darker but the leather is now soft and repels light water. I did try to air it out and put baking soda next to it the first 2 weeks but the smell was still strong. I didn't feel like returning it. All is well after rinsing and reconditioning the leather. I took a star off for having to rinse off the smell, dirt, and recondition the leather.

I was skeptical about this jacket reading reviews. But honestly, it's one of the best things I ever bought. It's quite warm with its inner blanked layer, love the collar to protect against wind and it suited to protect against New York City winters.I did have to put some work into it. 2 coats or beewax/orange oil with a 4 coats of spray on sicilicon water proofing. I got tailored my fire dept patchesThe reviews said it smells. Yes. It smells awfull for a day once you unwrap it but after that it smells like musty smokey leather for a month after, in a very good way! The smell is intoxicating, all the girls love the way it smells and looks.Money well spent!

Quality—comfort and true to fit. Many compliments on this jacket just with the few times I’ve been out. This will last a lifetime and likely be passed down. If this is your thing—this jacket is for you. The best Amazon purchase (apparel) wise in a loooong time.

I just love the Bomber Jacket. People always stop me and ask me what planes I flew in the war. That when I tell them I was in the US Navy. My wife purchases it from Amazon. Love it
