These Peg Locks Do Indeed Work - And Work Well
My woodworking shop is filled with various pegboards (wood, plastic, etc) and, with minor modification, these peg locks work with every single one. To make the peg locks fit tighter or fit pegboards they would not previously, I modified them by heating (mini torch, cigarette lighter, or other intense heat) the outside joint of the small hooks and bending the arms of those hooks inwards at a more acute angle. Afterwards, the peg locks hold very securely. In fact, the peg locks don't fail even when the metal pegboard hooks are pulled hard enough for the pegboard itself to actually move.Unfortunately, I broke three of the twenty-five peg locks while modifying them. The plastic was evidently more brittle on those three, resulting in the small hooks snapping off. The remainder modified easily, without incident, but I'll allow for a few extras during my next order - which will be soon. Finally, one reviewer complained about losing adjacent holes. The peg locks are thin enough for both a peg lock and a metal pegboard hook to easily fit into the same hole, resulting in no lost holes. Of course, that might not be the case for pegboards with smaller 1/8" holes. By the way, that same reviewer's idea of zip ties didn't work for me since my pegboards are all firmly attached to the walls to support greater weight.

Makes Your Peg Board Convenient To Use
Keeps your peg board hooks in place when you grab a tool. Makes it a one-handed job now (no longer have to hang on to hook with one hand as you grab the tool with the other.

these are great. The "teeth" aren't deep enough so a bunch ...
When they work, these are great. The "teeth" aren't deep enough so a bunch fall out. The teeth sizes aren't consistent. I gave it 4 stars because even if you use 10 of them, for the price it is still cheaper than anything else I could find locally by a factor of 2 or 3. Additionally, the ones that do work, work really well. They have been holding my pegs in place for almost nine months now.

Pretty much useless unless modified. Not returnable.
Other reviewers have pointed this out but I thought I’d give my 2cents. The barbs on these are tiny and could not hold any of my hooks without popping off from the slightest movement. I included a picture of the locks I have from Home Depot for comparison. I only needed about a handful and since these were not returnable I modified them. These are salvageable if you apply a bit of heat and bend them to give the locks a tighter grip/hold. I used a heat gun on high and gave each side a couple seconds, bent them to shape while blowing on them for a bit so the plastic cools and prevent rebound. They don’t hold as snug (hooks wobble a bit) but they do lock in place. If you need more than a handful I would look elsewhere as it’s not really worth the time/effort.

Almost too secure...
These pegboard clips work almost too good.If you decide to move the location of a pegboard piece, you will have to use considerable force to get these off. They will warp a little after you pry them off.Once in, the y will do their job great with little to no slack.

Beware of using on thin pegboard
I have used these on thicker pegboard (.25 inch) and they work great. They snap in securely and tightly hold those otherwise wiggly hooks. However, on the thinner boards (3/16 inch), like those sold at some of the large home improvement centers, these locks fit very loosely, often falling out altogether. Some of the reviewers mentioned heating the hooks with a match or lighter and bending them to tighten the fit. I didn't try this trick, but I did throw them all in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes and pulling them out one-by-one with a pair of needle-nose pliers, was able to bend the hooks to tighten the fit on the thinner boards. Not as snug as on thicker board, but much better than using the unaltered hooks. Would it be so difficult for them to manufacture two sizes? It's always the little things that test your patience.

once you use, you'll never go without.
we use pegboards over all our work benches for household tools, outside garden and even craft(s) and don't buy the pegs without the locks, they are that good and worth the extra time to install them when adding a peg hook. Also worth taking the time to be sure placement of peg is as you want/need it because removing the peg lock and peg isn't always a smooth/easy task. But they won't break or snap easily, so yes, you can re-arrange the locks and pegs as needed. They're little black plastic things that probably cost a couple cents to make; but, they're worth the sometimes high price...shop around and buy as many as you have pegs because once you see the advantage of pegs being locked, you can't go without.

Amazing invention, buy them now
I don't know how I went 25 years of my life without knowing about these convenient little plastic retainers. If you own a pegboard and you don't have these then buy them right now. They keep your metal pegs on the board when you pull your tool off so you don't have your hooks falling off behind your work bench where you can't reach them and have the struggle of trying to pull them out with a magnet and hooking them back into the pegboard. I will forever use these retainers and I am going to order more ASAP

Won't stay in place
I tried a dozen of these on my pegboard, and only one of them would actually stay in place. I may be able to adjust the fit by bending them or using a head gun to make them fit better, but the teeth are so small I don't think it's worth the effort. Not a good design, so I'm going to 3D print some myself and toss these
