Need large custom cables for brakes and clutches, you've come to the right place!!
I love this kit! Why? Here's the backstory: My kids and I bought a couple go karts on CraigsList with the expectation we were going to fix them up and they could have a little fun in the yard, plus I could teach them the value and skill of working on your own vehicles and being resourceful. We needed cables for the brakes and the throttle and all we could find the local stores are the cheap, solid metal versions for lawnmowers. I searched all over Amazon, only to find an assortment of pre-made emergency brake cables for cars and trucks and everything would need modification to work in our application. I thought I was out of luck until I found this setup as well as the Venhill VWK003-BK Universal Motorcycle Shop Multi Throttle Cable Kit kit. We bought both and they have been wonderful! If you're buying these, make sure you have the tools to put them together! You will need:1) A soldering iron - the ends are VERY well made and slide right over the end of the cables, but they do need to be soldered on so make sure you have a good hot iron and solder ( The solder I used was the Kester Pocket Pack Solder 60/40 0.031 0.50 oz. Tube and it's worked perfect for me)2) You need a hacksaw - be gentle as you cut through the conduit, you don't want to smash it with side cutters!3) belt sander, grinder or sandpaper - once you cut the conduit, sand the edge so it's smooth and burr free. I have a belt sander and tapered the edges so the ferrules would slide on easy. After that, you're good to go! We made brake cables for 2 karts, both disk brakes and they're holding up well. We also made the throttle cables and for 3 karts and all have smooth action, and appear as though they will give us a good long life!

Seems pretty good.
Good for clutch and brake cables. Probably too heavy duty for throttles.
