A good companion piece to the fantastic Breaking Bad show. It literally continues where the last season left off.

It provides a great coda to the original TV series; I enjoyed seeing so many familiar characters, and some new ones to boot. The relationship between Jesse Pinkman, Badger and Skinny Pete was crucial to the series and its developed further in the spin off. Ultimately its a story of love and redemption, and it is almost as good as the series it finishes. Eminently rewatchable.

I really loved Breaking Bad, and am thoroughly enjoying Better Call Saul, so of course I had high expectations for this. Unfortunately, it doesn't really do anything new, leaving the story in the same place Breaking Bad already did, with a nice flashback scene featuring Walter White for good measure. It's weird that it takes place immediately after BB but was made so many years later, as everyone is visibly way older than the last time we saw them. It's not bad, but Vince Gilligan has taught us to expect better, so it's really more of a failure by his high standards.
