World-class hardware, high-potential software
The media could not be loaded. I own a couple Wyze cameras, so I'm not new in the world of home cameras.Hardware: Overall, I'm very happy with the camera. The build quality is incredible (love the magnetic base), the image quality is very high quality, and I also love to see USB-C on both ends. What I love most is how it's disguised - it looks like a piece of art instead of "hey, welcome to my home, here are my cameras!"Software: Setup was simple, although I should note that you're unable to run a VPN if you have the app installed, so that might be a deal-breaker for some. The app feels great, dark, simple interface. The visual timeline feature is very intuitive. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Software/App has potential. There are some key features I think would make this app very useable, but until those are released, the camera is more for fun.

Great, good quality product!!! Enjoy
I got this as a present for myself after my baby was born. Am I satisfied? – absolutely. Are there any disadvantages? – minor. Is it too expensive? – depends on what you want to get; check my review below.Strange company name, I have no idea what it means..Product, packaging, first impression:This brought back memories of when I first got my iMac six years ago. I think even Apple doesn’t do the same type of packaging anymore as these guys do. The device itself is made as a single piece of aluminum with a glass rim; it's weighty and seems strong. The magnetic stand creates a feeling of magic, and because it’s magnetic it attaches to any part of the camera body. I played around for a few minutes trying on the different mounting options, and it fits very snugly. Not much else to say; this is just a fantastic gadget to touch and looks fabulous in the interior.Concerns: I glued the 3M stand that came with the mounting kit to the wall. After a couple of days, the camera fell on the floor along with a piece of the wall. The 3M tape is very reliable, but my wall was not. Be careful when hanging the device on a vertical surface; it’s a good idea to use the screws included in the kit.App and daily use:The pairing was as promised in the advertisement: I plugged it in, brought up the app on my iPhone, entered the password for the WiFi, and that's it. No registration, SMS or password. Later I found out that you can register an account and called up the support to ask what the difference was between registering and not – they said that if you don't register an account, the system stays anonymous, and you cannot restore it if you lose your iphone. Privacy. Btw, their support is fast and good. The picture quality is excellent. We have Arlo 4k at home, and I have to note that Arlo’s 4k is much worse than the Homam FullHD; I don't know how they did it, but it is. The microphones are so sensitive that I can hear my children whispering in another room with the doors opened. Actually, this is the first camera in my experience that lets you really hear what people are talking about in another room (I’m comparing to Nest and Arlo).Concerns: the camera has speakers; they have the same quality, and they play voices legibly and clearly. But sending an audio message is a bit different: you need to record an audio message and wait until it is sent and played on the camera. On the one hand, this ensures that your message is reproduced as is, but on the other, you can’t really talk via the camera because there is a bit of a delay between sending and producing your message. Finally – features.I got the camera in July 2021, after the company announced new features – the Nanny, Guard, and Capture modes. But first I have to mention something important – the History Recording. Pretty unbelievable, but I didn't notice that the camera began to write the video archive immediately. Don't get me wrong; the interface is so organic that you have no idea what's going on under the hood; you just use it. But after a couple of days, I realized that I’d been using the video archive and didn’t even notice it. it's just some kind of magic. The App is different too. It’s divided into so-called modes: there’s view, nanny, guard, and capture. View is like the main mode, where you have a big image that you can slide. It also contains a timeline, on which you can find bubbles with detected objects and graphics. Nanny, Guard and Capture look the same as View, but the image is smaller and there are additional buttons in the middle of the screen. So again, it is so organic, and you don't need to go to settings to make changes; everything is accessible on the main screen.Concerns: bubbles do not always clearly reflect faces. sometimes it’s not a face that is caught, but a leg, or even a chair. support said that all processing takes place inside the camera, and this is why bubbles sometimes don't accurately capture an object, because there is no manual tuning — again, Privacy. But in any case, I can say for sure that the bubbles appeared only when there was a natural movement. they never appear spontaneously or due to random factors such as sunlight or branches moving.Nanny modeProvides two buttons: Sensitive notifications and Audio Monitor. The Audio Monitor is what I’ve been waiting for from a home cam. You press the button, minimize the App and hear everything that happens in the room where the camera is located. even if you lock your iphone. I put my phone on the bedside to charge at night and hear when the baby wakes up. unlike a baby monitor, this thing works so well and it’s always with you because your phone is always with you. Again, the sound quality is what you pay for. This mode also works over the Internet, but I haven't figured out how to use it in everyday life (maybe it could be useful listening to how your babysitter communicates with your child when you're away). The notifications in this mode also work well and don't spam your phone. I used them when I put my child to bed and got on Instagram in the next room. It works well, but still, my favorite feature is the audio monitor.Guard modeThis mode also has two buttons: planet and Main Guard. I tried to test it, and it didn’t really work. Then I talked to support, and they said that the system is intelligent, and I need to try to use it not as a test but in a real scenario. And boy it worked. I left Homam facing the window when we went away one weekend, and it actually sent notifications about cars, people, etc. but I never got messages about moving branches, as always happens with Arlo.Capture modesimply allows you to save short video clips to your phone or take a screenshot. It's as simple as the rest of the app. The only issue is that if you need to save an hour of video, you’d have to hold the button for an hour. I hope the developers will do something about it. I've already reported this to their support.Instead of conclusion:I could not find much information about the company on the Internet and decided to buy almost blindly. But it turned out the product was worth it, andt the company has put a lot of effort into it. I'm glad to see there are companies that still make such quality products.

Just an ok camera!
I had high hopes for this camera but was underwhelmed with picture quality. I know it has a lot of bells and whistles but for HomeKit it is the same as my Circle view cameras which work all the same. The price is not justified for this purpose only.

As a former Industrial Designer I give it: +++++
I love the design & fit & finish, as well as the neutral colors, & it is made of quality materials.Have had to put up with occasional software issues where it has gone offline for up to about one hour. I fixed the issue by unplugging power for a few seconds. I have not attempted to find the source of the outage since my WiFi is a mesh system & I am not versed enough in WiFi to troubleshoot it myself. It’s worth the cost for me.

Highly recommend this camera for home or any business use!!
I’ve looked and researched for a few different smart home cameras in the past that we could use in our home, and this is one of the coolest gadgets that I have come across! It comes in a sleek box, and was super easy to install, we had it up and running in less than 5 minutes! The quality of the picture that the security camera picks up is PHENOMENAL. Not only is the picture great, but it picks up sound as well! And one of the coolest features- is that you can press a button on your phone to speak- and it projects what you are saying in the room like an intercom.I also love the fact that the camera has the timeline feature inside of the app, so you can go back and forth to see what happened the day before if needed. The camera also offers great set up features- you can have it standing, or attached to the wall! Highly recommend this camera for home or any business use!!

Poor HomeKit integration
I'm deinstalling mine today and throwing it away.I echo other reviewers comments about poor integration with HomeKit. You can view a live stream from the app (when the camera feels like working) but cannot record the stream. After 2 months, the camera died and I can't get it running again. For me, this was an expensive waste of money. Especially since it failed a day or two before someone stole a package out of my mailbox. I'd like to figure out who did it but despite having this camera trained on that location - there's no way to find out. Also, disregard Amazon's attempt to upsell you an SD Card. It's not necessary as the 64GB is built into the product. and there's no slot to insert the card.

Amazing home camera!
From the moment I opened the Homam camera, I valued the incredibly easy setup and the high build quality. I was able to set it up within minutes, simply by plugging it in, downloading the mobile app using the provided QR code, and entering my WiFi password in the Homam app. That's it, no cloud accounts required! The camera build is premium with heavy materials and I really love how it connects with the Magic Base via magnet. The video quality is amazing, capturing the entire room, and beautiful during the day and night. My favorite feature of the mobile app is the timeline of events. It archives the video to the local storage for privacy purposes and I have footage for the past 3 days of use of Full HD video with HDR. Finally, the camera looks fantastic wherever it is placed in my home.
