After dealing with plantar fasciitis for way too long, a podiatrist clued me in that I could no longer go barefoot, particularly on the hard tile floors installed in my home. He further told me I needed more support in my arches than the Skechers "Go Walk" shoes that my GP said looked just fine. I was told I needed to purchase full-length insoles, specifically Powerstep Pinnacles. I did so, and they helped, but they're not cheap and I didn't like having to move them from one pair of shoes to another. I began looking for walking shoes both for in-home and outdoor wear and found many to be very expensive and/or have a little old lady vibe I'm just not ready for yet.These shoes fit the bill. They're reasonably priced, provide the support my feet need and are even somewhat stylish. I purchased the charcoal/berry model in a Eurosize 38 (I wear a 7 1/2). The shoes came pre-laced with berry-colored laces and a spare pair of charcoal ones for those who prefer a more sedate look. I find the shoes to fit just slightly on the snug side in both length and width with athletic socks...but they are nonetheless comfortable. At first I felt pressure from the arch supports and was only able to wear the shoes for a couple of hours. It didn't take long to get used to them and I now wear them all day.These were my first pair of Dansko shoes, but I'm pretty sure they won't be my last.

I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for six months now. I have tried may different brands of sneakers/shoes to help minimize the discomfort in my heel. These sneakers have been the best by far. Well made and good support. Thanks Dansko!!

After reading through the reviews I decided to purchase these shoes. I am on my feet 5 days a week, for 8 +/- hours each day. The flooring is wood with little 'give'. Having been miserable for much longer than I should have been, it was time to give my feet some love. These shoes were absolutely NOT it. The sole is very hard and uncomfortable, the arch support just wasn't there. I experienced a burning sensation that was so extremely uncomfortable. I toughed it out for 3 weeks - just hoping that I needed to break in the shoes. I ordered a pair of Asics (and received the wrong pair), but the Asics were so much more comfortable right out of the box. That's when I was positive that I hadn't been imagining my dislike of these shoes. They were packed up and returned the next day.

Love love love these shoes! I'll order another one in different color. The price is right too! I have stress fracture in my right foot so I need shoes that have good support. I'm a little in heavy side (according to my doctor) so I need this kind of support not only for my feet but for my knees also, seeing I'm in and out from a physical therapy clinic. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone that has sensitive feet and for those who are constantly on there feet. Oh the fustian color is so beautiful and it is a plus, most of my scrubs have fushia on them.

I had two operations this year. Screws put inside my left ankle and my right knee had a total knee replacement. My job consists of walking all day. I could not find the right shoe to walk in my friend suggested Dansko and said she had worn her sneakers out they were great on her knees and legs. I put them on as soon as they arrived and they were true to size and I am very flat footed so I was worried about the width that's always a big problem for me. It felt PERFECT! Very Comfortable! I had worn them around the house for two hours to make sure. My legs and feet felt as if I keep walking and trying to build up the muscles again, I now can. No pain!! So I now have hope to walk again and lose weight. When you don't have the right shoe you get very discouraged!!

I have plantar fasciitis and have had trouble finding sneakers that keep me comfortable when doing agility with my dog. I wore them for the first time last week and loved them. Very light and comfortable, and my feet didn't hurt at all after an hour and a half of running around the course with my dog.

These shoes are not the quality of Dansko.(made in China). It is too stiff and makes a cheap clanking sound when I walk. Athletic shoes should not make any sound when walking. These do, so noisy.This means the rubber soles are not real rubber. Seems more like plastic, rubber, if there is such a mixture. I wore them to gym, so can't really return them. I,should have returned them right away. It's a nice design, but that's about it. I guess I will try new insoles as, these have no arch support. This surely is not a genuine Dansko product. It's sold just for namesake!

I bought these because so many nurses where them and rave about them. I need white since I a student. The first couple of clinical days I wore these, they were not comfortable. However after the 3rd day, (10 hour shifts) these shoes had molded to my feet and are very comfortable and supportive. I get plantar fasciitis very bad and after a long day on my feet, my heels hurt. These shoes kept me from having any heel pain.
